Was really looking forward to trying this cosy looking place, but I was really disappointed in the service here.. Firstly, when the drinks were served, instead of bringing it to the table, I was made to collect the tray and take it myself as if I was employed there. Secondly, the food was a HUGE dissapintment, an english breakfast for £9.45 and you gave me gone off mushrooms and 1 singular piece of toast split in half.. I couldn't even make it into a sandwich. Ordered a (undercooked) sausage bap and a (overcooked and reheated) full English. Let alone when they brought the food over (shocker, i thought I'd have to get it myself from the kitchen!) They just left the tray on the table with an over-stacked table tray and left. Bearing in mind, the tables are so small I could barely fit a full breakfast on there even with how little food they gave me for the price! Would not recommend going here

Arrived in Lancaster to meet up with our lift to the North East. Had a few hours to kill and Casta spotted the "A" board advertising this cafe. Decided it was time for a Full English and coffee. Advertised at £8.95. A bit more than the local Spoons but nicer interior. They also have a side outdoor patio but it is another cool, grey mid August day! Additional seating upstairs. Order at the counter then food brought to the table. Fairly busy today. Accessible toilet downstairs...main loos upstairs. Food very well presented and far better quality than Spoons. Good sausage and bacon.

Doggies is a local franchise of small shops and cafes in the local area and this shop is their signature cafe. If you visit the Diggles on St Francis Passage it is worthwhile, IMHO, to sit upstairs as they have a lot more room and it feels more comforting. Food is good British Breakfast and nice sandwiches and cakes. There are no shout out signature foods but everything is well prepared and the staff are always good to talk to. My advice is be a human and share some pleasantries, you’ll find them welcoming and helpful.

We loved diggles! First visit in a year and it was nice to see that unlike other venues prices were very similar if not identical to last year's prices (2020). Ordered two breakfast rolls, two coffees for £8 you can't go wrong! The outside seating area is lovely but it's ruined by others smoking, should really be a non smoking area.

Visited 14/08/21 Meal deals have been removed, cost of the exact same order has increased by over £3 in 6 weeks. Charged £11.70, compared to £8.20 in July.

Visited 12/02/22 Shame to see it's gone down hill further, prices have all been rubbed off the white boards, so you've no idea what you're paying. Coffee is pretty much undrinkable, staff had no idea how to make the drinks and were asking for advice/clarification on how to steam, number of shots, order of the milk and coffee. We waited almost 30 minutes for food, only for us to get the wrong items (we'd asked for sausage bun - not toasted), as we'd waited so long we ate what we'd got (cremated bread rolls) and left. Now we know why there is...

Took ages to be served. I was 8th in the queue & there was only one server, who looked like she wanted to be elsewhere. One of the customers in the queue knew her and they kept talking about her "hilarious" social media posts about men. All the while, a child was waiting behind her with the mother looking furious at the server and her friend. Got to my turn and was literally asked (Julie was her name) "What do you want?". I ordered a coffee & a toastie and the food took 26 minutes to come out. I had to find a table that didn't have dirty plates and cups on it. Tables didn't get cleaned for ages. Used to be a good little cafe did this. Wouldn't...
