A great pub. Until a few hooligans turned up. Recommended by the previous owner of John O'gaunt.
A friend of mine refused to be served after apatently going to the toilet 3 times in half an hour after speaking to bar staff.
He also has a medical condition bear that in mind. But who cares?
This is a lie as he was sat right next to me. I asked for proof but it couldn't be answered. It's the landlady/landlord watching cameras. Disgusting if you ask me. Show me proof. I myself I have IBS.
Does that mean I'm not welcome?
What a pleasant gentleman the barman was i have to mention. He couldn't explain the situation but it's no fault of his own. I felt sorry for him.
Just going of random lies.
Life is not fair because of people like yourselves.
You sort of people don't care about people's disabilities and you find it okay to belittle people.
Truly ruined 14 peoples first night in Lancaster for Valentine's celebrations! For the first time in the city!
Lovely city however won't be coming...
Read moreIf I could give no starts I would. I’m a uni student and went on a Friday night as they were advertising karaoke so thought it would be fun. Was I wrong. As soon as we walk through the door a group of lads instantly start sexualising us and calling us like dogs. Upon entering we are unwelcome at the bar and are quickly told we need to order quick as they were “not a youth club” despite us entering seconds before hand. Before we could even get an order in a group of men are instantly harassing us trying to get closer and not leaving us alone. Whilst this is occurring I can hear the bar staff asking eachother when we were leaving and not being supportive at all as if we were the problem. If you’re a student and looking for somewhere to go on weekends I do not recommend this at all! If you want to feel sexualised and harrased by not only locals but also bar staff this is your place, however if you’re a student looking for a safe and supportive place to go I’d suggest the penny bank...
Read moreUsually me and my friend go to brown cow, I have autism so I always wear shorts due to sensory needs. I was wearing some long denim shorts today, like usual, and this time I wasn’t allowed in.
This is only a bad review because it is completely ridiculous. I understand jogger shorts being tooo too casual but come on. Smart denim shorts should have been absolutely fine. I cannot wear trousers due to sensory problems. I should still be allowed to have a nice night out with my friend and not be discriminated against for something I cannot control. Every other time I’ve been fine so why now? Allow people with neuro disabilities to present how they’re most comfortable! I shouldn’t have to dress uncomfortable to be allowed to have...
