Dog friendly place, this is why we chose here. Been before and food was lovely. Not so great now, to be honest the food was awful. My wife ordered Hot dog and onions after being told it was a proper frankfurter sausage, it came and it was just a normal sausage in a ciabatta with raw onions. Sent it back and she asked for a ham sandwich, that came and it was still in the same bread as before. And ordered chips and gravy as a side and that turned out to be 7 chips in a bowl with a bit of gravy. I got bbq pulled pork and the pork was hard and sure it'd been heated in a microwave and it was dry barley any bbq sauce. Pint was nice though. Definitely wouldn't eat...

Friendly staff .. clean toilets (which is always important ) friendly atmosphere, children are allowed. In colder months, nice to sit near the wood burning fire, gives a cosy atmosphere. Space at the side of the pub to sit outside with seating and tables etc. In all, a lovely traditional, old fashioned pub with a lot of character and history .. always go here for a drink or two .. not tried the food yet, but looks very tempting.
