Whitakers arms — Restaurant in Leeds

What a fabulous find!

We've been coming to Otley for years but never been in the Whitakers Arms, however hasld walked past today and saw a sign out the front advertising breakfast, so I thought I'd try it as my two year old wanted food!

Well, I'm kicking myself I'd not been before - fabulous welcome, such a nice guy behind the bar and the children's menu was extensive and a great selection.

My daughter loved her cheese on toast and sausage on the side, fabulous quality I must say!

Great beer choices with tea and coffee too and amazing looking cakes and scones to choose from as well!

Best until last.....maybe! Take a look at their secret beer garden, what an amazing surprise and such a sun trap! A good size with lots of new seating, soft cushions and bean bags too!

Honestly, such a great find! So good in fact, we are coming back later with my other daughter and Mrs too!

Definitely put it on your list when you are next in Otley, you won't be disappointed at...

This should be a great pub. It’s very welcoming, good beer and really good inside and outdoor. Unfortunately there is very little adherence to social distancing, no one wears face masks, people just walk about shouting and behaving like it’s 2 years ago. The staff and landlords are great hosts but please don’t put profits above lives. Yes, it was an England game and people were excited but the behaviour of a lot of customers was disgraceful and it wasn’t discouraged. We left early because it did not feel safe or welcoming any more. Excellent place. Only visited yesterday and today Tuesday 24th August 21. Only in Otley for a few days. Visit Whitakers for a drink and or food. Only served till 14.00 ish at the moment. Atmosphere is excellent and very easy going. Staff are extremely friendly and very helpful, Jack the Lad and Joe. Inside or out, yes they have beer garden. It's A little gem. They have a gazebo with sides and a garden with bench tables to the left hand side. If we lived in Otley this would be our local with out a doubt!
