Cuckoo — Restaurant in Leeds

Awful staff on the door. We booked two tables as part of a hen do party of 8. Previous bars had allowed us in as two separate tables 4 on one, 4 on the other. We had stuck to the rules and not mixed whilst in these groups (moving around unnecessarily). Despite booking a table of 5 and a table of 3 for Cuckoo and separating ourselves before we went in, we were told we wouldn't be allowed to enter. The doorman was very rude, not listening to what we were saying. We asked to speak to someone who handles bookings and he became annoyed. We were told you can book two tables on the website but they can't give us two. This had been booked long enough they could have contacted us to tell us or this should be made known on their website, poor service and management. It was very upsetting, especially when the tables outside were not socially distanced and were mixing, so it was hypocritical of them to suggest we would not abide by rules. They did not even give us the chance. I do feel their handling of the situation was poor. The doorman more interested in his chocolate bar than listening to us explain how we had already split groups in previous bars. It did cause a lot of upset and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone purely on the way we were treat,by assuming the worst of their customers. Definitely got a doorman with...

Came for bottomless brunch for my birthday and was extremely disappointed. We were sat for 40 minutes with no drinks or food after asking numerous times and being told someone is coming to take our order. We finally ordered our pizzas and after chasing it up twice one little tray arrived with not enough pizzas and not the ones we'd ordered. In the time we were there we only ended up having 2 little pizzas each so really wouldn't consider this bottomless! The drinks- they tried making up for by bringing us a few out each but some of them weren't to our taste. We were told we would be getting another 2 drinks each and again had to chase them for it and on one occasion had to go to the bar to ask and he said he didn't have a ticket for our order but would do it. They supplied us with plenty of prosecco but again people in our party didn't like it and it's not the nicest prosecco I've ever had. Would...

I was so excited to come here with my friend. We bought 6 drinks between us hoping we’d get the free pizza with them (as it states, before 9 you get free pizza with every drink). We asked 3 times for our food as we waited 45 minutes for it. The first time we was told to wait 5 minutes as the chef was running behind, the second time they said they will bring all 6 (they brought 2 mini pizzas) and the third time again, they promised the rest will come.

A man who claimed he was the manager (Joel) who I complained to, said exactly these words; ‘you got what you paid for didn’t you, the drinks, you didn’t pay for the pizza’. Not the point. Don’t advertise that you get free pizza with every drink then. I’m shocked at the service. Will never come here again with that shocking attitude...
