Call Lane Social — Restaurant in Leeds

The security that are working at this establishment are very unprofessional and aggressive. They informed me that I couldn’t enter the property as I was on my own. I asked the question why they would refuse a person who was alone as not all people are in a group or with others and might just enjoy either socialising alone or be in town on business and not have anyone to accompany them. I was then informed that it’s just the companies policy and procedure while still being aggressive and abrupt towards me. When requesting to speak with a manager i was greeted by a gentleman who was also very abrupt towards myself. I asked him why they would isolate and prevent anyone from enjoying the establishment whom was alone as not all people travel in groups of more than 2 I was told again it’s company policy! I offered to show both the “so called manager and aggressive security” whom I was to assure them that I wasn’t going to cause any kind of trouble or some sort of thug I just wanted to enjoy a few quiet drinks before heading home got the night. I requested the names of both the “so called manager and security” so that I could inform the management of my experience and I was again greeted with aggressiveness. I would highly recommend and suggest that if visiting this establishment that you are not a male alone as you will be greeted with the same kind of experience. I’m writing this to express my deep shock and anger at what I experienced tonight outside Call Lane Social in Leeds. One of your bouncers physically assaulted me — completely unprovoked and while I wasn’t even inside or attempting to enter the venue.

I was simply present nearby when the bouncer aggressively approached me and physically attacked me without any explanation or justification. This wasn’t just rude or unprofessional — it was violent and deeply distressing.

This kind of behavior is absolutely disgraceful and dangerous. I am considering legal action and will be reporting this incident to the appropriate authorities, including Leeds City Council and the SIA (Security Industry Authority). I strongly urge Call Lane Social to take immediate action, review the CCTV footage from tonight, and hold this individual accountable. No one should fear for their safety because of your security staff.

There was a big group of my mates out, and this bouncer was incredibly aggressive and rude to us. He refused entry to the first one of us trying to get in claiming she was “too drunk”. Yet the person had not had a single drink yet. When another one of my friends explained this and questioned it, he got very aggressive saying none of us where allowed in because of her answering back. He was stuck up, arrogant, aggressive, racist and Rude. The other bouncers said they was sorry to us and tried to stay out of it as they where apparently “employed by him”. Disgraceful and ruined our night. Because of this I have to rate it 1*. Despite seeing other replies to these poor reviews about the bouncers that the security team arnt apart of your business and are employed by another company, I feel that it is your job to make sure the security team that stand outside your building are...
