Dixy Chicken Horsforth — Restaurant in Leeds

Without wanting to seem too millennial, OMG!!!! Picture this, a 42 year old man,having had 6 pints, wondering down Horsforth Town Street, PRAYING Dixie's will be open after the footy and, HALLELUJAH, it is. He's 'Just closing up'. I get a fillet burger and when I ask, "can u just chuck a couple of those extra bits on" he only does!

This is where my journey began. It was a slightly rainy night but not too bad, but as I ate that first chicken strip (given to me for free) the rain stopped, metaphorically, if not physically. Coronel Sanders has absolutely nothing on the 'Willy wonker and the chicken factory' that exists on Horsforth Town Street.

I immediately ate the free chicken leg I also possessed as if I was Henry the 8th and then unwrapped my burger like Charlie unwrapped his golden ticket. As I felt that first bite in my mouth my heart skipped a beat not disimmilarly to the first time I saw my beautiful wife of 17 year's smile for the first time.

This chicken is not to be underestimated. It is perfect. I felt a joy, walking down the hill to my house that I haven't felt since my last child was born, and, if I'm honest, seldom since. I actually started to giggle involuntarily a few times before I'd finished it.

Rarely have I felt so satisfied, unless I've just made love, and often not even then!

God bless Dixy's chicken, Horsforth. And I'm a staunch athiest!

Thank you God, Allah, Buddah, Vishnu and Stephen Hawkins, for making the universe produce chicken this way. Or the Deity that owns and operates the best chicken shop in the land, if not...

Ordered a chicken burger tonight. 1st one came and it was pink I rang and they sent another within 10 minutes I cut the 2nd burger up and again still pink! I rang to complain and ask for them to take it back they ended up putting phone down on me and my partner. I then rang again and asked them to come pick the burger up and do something about it as I am 16 weeks pregnant. They didn't care and said they'd get a manager to ring back I've just rang off my phone my partners and my mothers and the phone got put down on us every time we asked to speak to manager. DO NOT EAT HERE ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!! I WILL be going to trading...

Dixy Chicken is incredibly tasty, and a lot cheaper than KFC. It came in good time too.

HOWEVER, Google says Fridays and Saturdays, Dixy Chicken in Horsforth is closed. Well I just ordered from them TODAY, which is a SATURDAY, and they answered and said my food will be here in about 45 minutes. To anyone who feels like using this takeaway, don't trust google. It probably is actually open.
