Not very friendly staff unfortunately, or at least one particular girl. So you have leftover food in your pocket specific to your dietary requirements and two of your friends need to lunch. So this cafe gives you one option. You , with the dietary requirements, wait outside in the cold for your friends. It’s your fault that you are coeliac and can’t eat our food. So even if you buy a beverage from us to drink, you’re still not allowed to eat your own food here and join your two friends who bought food from us! That’s how they feel and rudely without asking for any reasons will tell you. The other tables were not even full. I wasn’t openly eating my boring food advertising it there but eating rather like a guilty person. We were then intending to buy coffee and cake in the end but when that particular girl mentioned this rather insignificant issue, none of us felt welcome in there and decided to buy a coffee and desserts from a much friendlier cafe with way better food and coffee and service. Besides, never trust a cafeteria who rate themselves with five stars by either their own staff or staff’s partners/owners or so as I can see from the response . Does not reflect true ratings and it’s very unprofessional. Deserves lesser stars on other platforms too. The guy that served us however, was very smiley and friendly. That’s the only nice thing I can say about that...
Read moreHad a delicious coffee and brownie at Woodlawn. We got there quite close to closing but we offered to sit in the window as we were only planning a quick stop off. The man serving was very hospitable so thank you for that as we were with our baby and it was nice to be looked after. Flat white was great and the triple chocolate brownie was lush! Plenty of seating upstairs too can imagine this is very busy on mornings and weekends! Seating outside too so that you can enjoy the sun when it is out. We had the pram so sat near the window on high stools, there are a few steps up to the café at the back but I'm sure anyone would be happy to help you up them...
Read moreThe atmosphere was good and the staff were friendly. I had a hot chocolate and a salted caramel brownie. Both of which were good. The hot chocolate tasted like it was made with proper chocolate and wasn't as sweet as some high street coffee shops might make. I liked this, but some people may not. My husband had pancakes with maple syrup and a flat white. He said they were both well made, although he wasn't as keen on the blend of coffee they used (North Star) but again that's down to personal preference. There isn't masses of space for buggies, but they have a small area to park buggies in and provide...
