We went for food here, ordered 2 chicken stack burgers, and a mega mixed grill. We were told that there would be half an hour wait because they had to clean down the kitchen due to a customer with an allergy. This is fine, no problem. Obviously, this is an allergy, and we completely understand. No problem at all. 58 mins later, we are still waiting for our food. I went to the bar to ask how long it was going to be, thinking that maybe the order hadn't gone through. A party of around 8 people, had literally walked in 20 mins ago and were getting their food brought out to them. He said he would go check and apologised. We were offered some free drinks which we didn't take because we just wanted to leave at this point. Our chicken burgers were actually quite nice, though the fries with the burger were rock hard (as though they had been sat under a warmer for some time). Ordered Montery Jack cheese on one for £1 extra and macaroni cheese as an extra side on the other one for £2. The macaroni cheese came in the tiniest pot, all congealed, like it had been sat there all day. It could've done with a stir maybe to make it look more appetising. The mixed grill was awful. Everything burnt, except the sausage and the peas. Fries were rock hard too. Steak was asked for medium but it was like rubber and burnt. Really disappointed.

REOPENED 24/01/19 after renovation . I have only visited the outside so far , and that only from the exterior at night! Part of the renovation appears to be two new smoking ? sheds at the front of the building . There’s a large outdoor patio with chairs and tables which now is well lit at night . The car park to the rear is also well lit and patrons are advised to record their vehicle reg at the bar . There is a smoking shed by the rear door . This door is also the disabled entrance , and is flat and level into the building . There is also a handrail. Disabled parking I found a little disappointing as there were three marked bays next to rear door but they were not sized out properly and a side loading wheelchair would have great difficulty due to the spacing between spaces not being adequate . My vehicle is rear loading and is quite large , but the space looked small. It’s also a sloping car park and I shall return to assess the building and check out the interior .

We don't come here often but it's been pleasant over the last year when we have. It's got nice open spaces Inside and is clean and tidy. We've enjoyed quiet afternoons, but haven't been on an evening for a long time. There's a pool table and they show BT Sports (which might get get there for an evening actually!). The service at the bar was pretty disappointing on our last visit, but nicely overshadowed by the food service. The menu is small, and not great for me being coeliac, there wasn't anything I could adapt and didn't fancy getting into detailed discussion about options with the bar staff. So I opted not to eat, but my other half chose a pizza and was really impressed- love that they have a pizza oven on site!

This is a hard place to review. The food was lovely but basic and the portions were very small. I had a mixed grill and felt very hungry after, thank goodness we ordered some extras.

The staff were friendly and helpful but other pub goers were swearing their heads off, not good when you've sat down with kids for a meal. We wanted to leave as soon as we ate.

When we first arrived for our booked table, there was a lot of people sat on their own in booths which didn't help a family of five who needed seating. We didn't feel like a table was reserved for us that we booked as we were told areas in the pub to look for seats, it was explained that football was on so it was busier than usual but if we couldnt find a seat to let staff know. We were eventually seated with help from other families there and the table was promptly wiped.

Food came in reasonable time and whilst it did look nice, I noticed portions were very small. The Bridgewater Inn we previously ate at at Kirkstall had similar meals with generous portions and i think maybe a quid cheaper. Also, five of us were eating and three meals were brought out so two of our party were sat nibbling the extras we ordered and food from the meals that had arrived whilst waiting for their food to eventually arrive. A big no no in any eatery is bringing food out in dribs and drabs, it's either all out together or none at all, you don't have anyone waiitng for food whilst others are tucking in.

Desserts took far too long to arrive for what we ordered and the fact we only ordered a couple of puddings, with the pub practically empty now the wait time was unacceptable.

Bar staff were polite and courteous but you could tell they didn't take too kindly to being ordered for drinks as one pub goer said 'put a guiness in there'. No manners at all.

Would we go again, definitely not, food was tasty, service was on point, but it's not a family friendly pub which in this day and age is a bit odd.

Pros. Lovely food Polite staff

Cons Swearing pub goers. My partner said she didn't feel comfortable going to the bar on her own. Definitely not a family pub. Odd darts placement, you had to pass the in use dart board to get to the bar or toilets. Toilets were not clean at all, we used the disabled ones. Pricey food for...

Parking fines rude staff. Beware going in the pub at night as the signs are not lit up to advise that you will be fined for parking in their car park while you spend money in their pub! I spoke to the assistant manager to get advise but was confronted with the attitude of its not our fault not bothered. When I complained to the manager they said that they investigated the complaint and I am in the wrong. Great detective work you have not asked me any questions about what happened only that I am in the wrong, great customer services? As the pub own the private land the car park police are working on your behalf you have a responsibility to make sure that they are running the 'con' operation correctly and responsibly. I have been advised by the pub to provide evidence that I entered the pub, I asked the pub to check the CCTV to get the evidence I needed and they are refusing to do that? I hope that the brewery read this and can reply with an email address where I can make a complaint direct to themselves as I have no confidence in the staff at...
