We went for dinner here and our first impression was excellent – the décor is beautiful, the food well presented, and overall the restaurant ticks so many boxes. The staff were very friendly and welcoming too.
That said, there were a few service issues that could easily be improved. Unfortunately, we waited about 1.5 hours for our mains, and some guests who arrived later were served before us. One of our dishes also came out at room temperature, suggesting it had been sitting for a while, though to the team’s credit, they replaced it quickly and apologised. The portions could be a bit bigger.
During the wait, it would have been a nice touch if staff had checked whether we’d like more drinks. They should have offered a coffee or dessert after the meal. These small details can make a big difference to the overall dining experience.
The potential here is huge – with a bit of staff training and a manager to oversee the flow, this could easily be one of the top-rated restaurants in Leeds. You already have the essentials: great food, stunning décor, and a lovely team. A little polish on the service side and I’d be delighted to give a...
Read moreMy friends and I came for a Birthday last week. I love Thai food so was super excited. The prices were quite steep compared to others in Leeds. It was expected really as the interior of the restaurant was very well done.
I wouldn’t mind paying this price if everything was 100% perfect but I don’t think it was worth it if I’m honest.
I’m vegan and there was a few options on the small plates but only 1 or 2 on the main menu. The small plates were £9.50 for my vegan ones and a side of Pak Choi was £7, making my total over £40 for 4 small dishes and 2 Coke Zero.
The food did taste lovely but I don’t think it was any better than any others I’ve had in Leeds, I probably prefer Mommy Thai. The dishes all came out at different times so some of the group were waiting a long time for their food and others had nearly finished. It was surprisingly empty for a Saturday night so you’d think it would all come out quickly.
Staff were lovely and it was a nice experience but I probably won’t go back as there’s other Thai places I...
Read moreI don’t usually do restaurant posts on here, but this place really deserves a shout out! Myself and My Partner have been coming to this beautiful Thai restaurant called Rambuttri located opposite Leeds bus station.
We all know the rule of thumb that if a place is busy it must be good, but this gem is surprisingly quiet, which is such a shame because the food is outstanding and the staff are so lovely. We were served by Lewis and Tan, who made the whole experience even better.
Something else I love is the tiling inside. Since doing the walk around Leeds learning about the city’s history of tiling and pottery, it’s so nice to see places still incorporating that heritage within their design.
For starters, I had Tod Mun Kow Pode and Chris had Miang Moo Grop. For mains, we went for Kuay Teaw Pad Kee Mow and a classic Pad Tua, both absolutely delicious!
Please do go and visit this place. I know you won’t be disappointed, and it’s a great way to support a brilliant...
