Bringing creativity to comfort food, Heberto and Rona Segura creates internationally inspired dishes featuring the freshest seasonal ingredients that are local whenever possible. Their cuisine is as humble, innovative and personable as they are. The truck can be found outside of Digress Wine off Edgewater Dr in Orlando FL with this Rob slinging smiles and drinks. Not sure what you're interested in drinking that day or night? Come on up and ask because he'll be more than happy to help you find something to wet the whistle. Burrata & potato chips is served with edamame hummus and everything sprinkles. Smooth, silky and fresh delivered with a crispy and salty potato chip. Nothing more that I'd ask for besides another plate of this. Braised duck empanadillas are served with salsa verde. Honestly, that salsa verde goes with EVERYTHING! The empanadillas are the cutest little things and I'd love to shove a few in my pocket to munch on at work. You can hardly tell it is duck unless you've had it before because the gamey of the duck is very mild to the palate. Tempura Gulf Coast prawns with uni butter and smoked trout roe. Beautifully plated with the moist and tender prawns. Chicken Costoletta served with baby potatoes, cauliflower giardiniera, and lemon and chili garlic oil is one of the popular dishes from this food truck. Also, it is one of Heberto's favorite dishes as well! Try it out and see how enjoyable it is. Prime beef & lamb sliders served with feta aioli and pickled pink onions. Hear me out, how about we put some of that salsa verde and burrata under these buns too? Maybe you should order all three dishes that have these items and make your creation like I did. But don't forget to enjoy bites of this creation before adding things to make your own. Manchego cheese croquettes are so creamy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. They're served with a Romesco aioli that adds a nice touch to it as well. Don't forget to order dessert. They have the buttermilk shortcake that is served with mixed berries and Chantilly cream. Make sure you stop by Duck & Drake Kitchen (with a possible Foodie Meet Up by myself in the works for the last Thursday of April. Keep an eye out!). Of course, come before and after the Foodie Meet Up, but come during the meet up too and enjoy getting to know other food enthusiasts too.

Great classic pub that truly supports the live music industry. If you ever get the opportunity to go see a live band here it is truly worth it, they are one of the few venues left in Leeds providing a real breeding ground for live music. The staff are also fantastic and do a great job of keeping everyone served, even when it's rammed. The owner Rob is also a great guy and really looks after everyone (customers and staff). My only quibble with the place is the price they charge for spirit mixers. When it comes to beers they have a great selection (including non alcoholics) and they are very reasonably priced, but a double (house) rum + coke costs me the best part of £9. I kind of get their thinking, but unfortunately I'm allergic to beer and would love to support this pub a lot more than I already do, but I just can't justify that sort of money on the regular when I could (for example) get a cocktail in one of the UKs Top 50 cocktail bars nearby for about a quid more. I know it's a bit of a personal gripe, but hopefully one they can sort out by adding a spirit mixer deal or two in the future just so I can justify coming down and supporting the bar a bit more. P.s. if you visit, please bring a bit of cash (£5 - £10 would be ideal if you enjoy them, but a couple of quid is fine if you didn't) and always put money in the bucket to support the bands. They are playing for basically nothing and I've never seen a bad band here, they deserve a bit of your spare change to help them keep going.

Duck & Drake is an ace pub. Great location, dead close to Leeds city center. It's a spacious pub that has two separate rooms with the bar in between. Classic old fashioned interior with a fireplace creates a warm and welcoming environment which makes the pub even better in the winter season. There is also a beer garden if you love a tab or the weather is nice. Great selection of cask and keg beers. I personally had a pint of Yankee from Roosters brewery on cask - top notch pint! Staff members had a good knowledge of beers and were really friendly. The people there in general were nice - no nonsense, everyone's chill and cool. The place has no cons - overall it's a great pub and I would highly recommend to all beer lovers,

BEYOND THE IDES OF MAY (just)

An early visit today, on a beautifully sunny (unusual for this year!) teatime.

Have been here many times before, as this is one of THE essential pubs in Leeds for any lover of Real Ale (fantastic range - me, personally, I like the IPA's... and - there's LOADS of 'em!), authentic service (people COUNT), the decor (traditional urban pub, but adorned with loads of blues and rock artwork), retro rock'n'blues numbers piped in the background as default which I find interesting - for an ageing muso like missen...

ALL this - importantly for me, being such a music freak - is combined with an unequivocal passion for LIVE MUSIC. You only need to check out the chalked postings above the main bar - BANDS, Thu-Fri-Sat-Sun (with other events on in the week) to realise this. Only thing is, it'd be nice if they also chalked up the month too, as it's sometimes hard to fathom when you should be there to check out the bands you want to. You're basically - I suppose, spoilt for CHOICE! Great people. Great music. Great pub!!!! AND centrally based - close to all transport options to get yourself home before the (strong)...
