Ryan's Kitchen — Restaurant in Leeds

Being dying to try Jamaican/Caribbean food for a few years now but being a pesky veggie, haven't got round to it due to not knowing how much choice there would be for me. First experience trying this style of food, and of trying Ryans kitchen, tonight and we have not being disappointed!

The smell as soon as you walk in is intoxicating and not comparable to anything I have previously tried, we knew we were in for a treat long before we actually ate. All the food is made fresh, which you can see been prepared as you wait, and this is certainly reflected in the taste. The restaurant itself is spotless and nicely fitted out, and the people running it were very friendly and welcoming 😊

Both me and my (non-veggie) boyfriend both thoroughly enjoyed our meals (hence both having left reviews) and the selection of sides we got to try and can't wait to work our way through many of the other dishes on the menu in future visits. As soon as we'd finished eating we were already looking at the menu deciding what we were going to get next time! The mac and cheese is what mac and cheese should be, and they have an ample selection of vegetarian dishes on the menu, as mentioned in previous reviews, which is great for me. They also offer good value and generous portions

Absolutely cannot recommend them highly...

Having experienced the beautiful authentic Jamaican foods December 2019, I wanted to share the all with my youngest son by treating him after a hard shift (works in Leeds).

Unfortunately, the first Friday in 20/20 around 9pm I travelled from my Halifax home only to discover Ryan s Cafe was closed 🥴🥴-not explanation. Even though checks were done online (stated Open) before embarking on the trip. Sadly I had to drive into Chapeltown and purchase similar foods but in my opinion not to the standards of Ryan s. It was important to me for my son to enjoy a cultural fast food meal he grew up and identified with.

Equally for his work colleagues to taste and consider as an alternative from the “traditional “ fast foods and to become NEW and possible regular customers...

Absolutely amazing food! so tasty and well cooked honestly would recommend this place to anyone really enjoyed our food! The Mac and cheese is amazing and the jerk chicken is cooked so well! There was a problem with the website order and it got cancelled in error by the shop I called the restaurant and they were extremely polite and helpful and actually delivered our meal and did not charge us for the food! I have never experienced customer service as good as this from any restaurant/takeaway before. They even added extras to our order I am so impressed, great-full and thankful! Thanks Ryan’s Kitchen you have really made a stressful week soo much better! This was our first time ordering and we will 100%...
