Spice 4U — Restaurant in Leeds

Tonight we traveled from Bradford to try spice for you, we try a new curry house each month and we came across this as the reviews looked pretty positive.

Food wise the curry was good, fresh taste, decent heat and the menu is varied, the naan breads were also nice, soft and fresh.

However the staff that were serving were quite unfriendly, we had an elderly gentleman and a young lad, both were rude and didn't engage when asked to order anything, especially the older chap who kept holding his finger up saying wait a moment when he got confused about what we were ordering.

There were other staff members serving other tables which appeared more friendly and active, so hopefully if you do visit you don't get the same as us.

Would ideally make a good take-away but the customer service leaves a lot...

4 stars for Non Vegetarian cuisine and NONE for vegetarian. Veg Biryani we ordered had rotten vegetables and the foul smell which spoiled our mood and killed the appetite. To make thinks worse, the attitude of staff when we reported the issue was unbelievably terrible. Waiter asked us 'what you want me to do with this dish?!' I was shocked to my core.

In response to your below comment - we didn't had side veggies (served with biryani) until other dishes were served and that's when we found it's taste was bad. With all due respect to your long standing experience and pride, I just shared what we experienced.

Not at all a chicken tikka masala should never be sweet like that maybe a subtle sweet hint along with spices but there was nothing but sweetness in the curry I ordered I mean for god sake the sauce was pink just about and by real Indian I mean authentic and thay was no such thing you would get laughed out of India with that rubbish and in a traditional tikka masala there is usually some vegetables like fresh tomatoes or peppers and all it was was under seasoned chicken in a vile sugary pink sauce you are a disgrace to the Indian culture for even trying to defend that horrible...
