A Starbucks with a drive thru !! My reviews are based on disabled access and amenities, and I can see the drive thru being a great advantage to those of us with limited mobility. First impression is excellent, and this new shop is of Starbucks usual high quality.I have no complaints about the service or the staff as they were excellent. The range of tea and coffee is sublime. Having said that I found problems gaining access to the building itself! Itās not possible to get in from Kirkstall road in a wheelchair to the shop . There are two steps up even tho there is a dropped kerb outside the door!!! There is also no dropped kerb at the end of the footpath leading to the ramp at the side of the shop.If you park in the retail park where there are disabled accessible bays you will have to brave the road and head for the drive thru entrance. There is ONE disabled parking bay in a small car park . There is a dropped kerb next to the bay and a path leading round the corner of the building to the side door . This door is glass and heavy . It opens towards you and to your right (very awkward without help). A staff member came and assisted me . The floor inside is all flat and level throughout. Staff will help with your order as the counter is at ānormalā height. However there is a dropped counter at the far end. There are several comfortable arm chairs and long bench padded seats . Most of the round tables will take a wheelchair after moving chairs . There is a long bench table but I couldnāt fit my legs under!! There is a disabled accessible toilet immediately to your left as you enter the store from the side entrance..The door opens towards you and is heavy . It is not automatic.Unfortunately there is a baby changer in there too !!! As a new build this is all pristine .HoweverI did have a little trouble turning my chair to lock the door when inside the cubicle. The emergency šØ cord...
Read moreAbsolutely appalling experience this morning. I put £5 on the Starbucks app which showed on my app I was around £7. Went to Savin Mills way first was closed no reasoning for closure on the door. Travelled then to Kirkstall Road. Ordered a mocha then the lady said I owed a couple of pounds when my app said I had £7 available she apologised for the delay. Another lady came over with slick back hair and was messing about clicking the app for payment and making excuses with no apology. In the end I said forget it as was becoming a nightmare. She never apologised to me and when I asked if any money had come off she said she had cancelled and no money had been taken. There was a member of male staff behind the counter just staring at me which i found weird. When I got home over £5 had been taken off my app which i want back and will escalate further. Clearly the staff lack customer service...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStaff were all lovely in general, but the drinks weren't correct. We ordered toffee nut latte and pistachio velvet latte. The toffee nut came without the offer of cream (in the advertisements it has cream) and the pistachio latte looked like it came without the cold foam. I asked about this and apparently it "sinks". But I saw him make the cold foam for a previous drink order after the lady had to request he make it, and he definitely didn't make any and add it to mine. I get the impression it's an annoying thing to make so they are avoiding it. Only writing this review because these chain coffee shops charge so much for their coffee, and stuff like this keeps happening to me. If you're advertising a drink a certain way, serve it that way because that's what you're charging...
