Place was packed with LUFC fans at 2 on match day. We celebrated Leeds scoring at about 3.40. Arrogant man behind the bar (tattoos) came & told us not to celebrate! We just cheered & carried on our conversations. No beer throwing, tables overturned, bad language etc. We were in the back room..6 of us...About 3 others in there. Disgraceful. We pointed out it's a Leeds pub..he said "it's a pub for everone"...very true..but it's IN LEEDS!!! Two previous attempts to run a bar at this location failed so once a terribly bland concept with 'this'll do' level execution was allied to scalper beer prices and bland generic décor, it was always likely to struggle. Here's a tip - offer a range of drinks of different prices, foster a community of people who want to return to the same place, use the excellent traditional pub layout to make the place comfortable, cosy and homely, and of course, don't call it 'Waiting Rooms'. Read moreThis is a proper old school traditional boozer with a warm friendly atmosphere near the railway station. This has a similar feel to the Millstone in the Northern Quarter, Manchester.
