Thomas' Taverna — Restaurant in Leeds

Was looking forward to a nice tasty lunch. Sadly disappointed. Asked for Moussaka which wasn't on the lunch menu but they did oblige. Wish I hadn't bothered. Very small portion for the price and it was very bland for Moussaka. (I am not a big eater) came with chips which were frozen ones. Very dry tasteless. Not even a good tasty frozen chip. Partner had Chick Gyros.. Looked nice. He enjoyed. Had 1 glass of wine and coffee. Bill was £30!

So 2 meals at just under 20quid. So that was £10 or over for just a wine and a coffee!! Rip off to say the least. Didn't even come to check if food was okay or we wanted anything. Sorry but not...

Was expecting amazing gyros, sadly got a dry, bland over priced meal. 4 cubes of chicken, 8 chips (from a freezer bag of ready made oven chips it seemed, seasoned with a sprinkling of herbs) 2 half slices of tomato and some strong red onion (which I left) only soft drinks were canned pop, no still none fizzy drinks. Young school aged staff, with very little customer service attributes (felt I was a nuisance that they wanted rid of) really disappointed as had heard and hoped for good things...

Finally made it to Otley to visit this wonderful Greek Taverna which I had heard about some time ago. Having lived in Greece for a number of years I was very excited to see if I could recapture some of the special cafe culture atmosphere here in the UK.
