Duke of York — Restaurant in Lichfield

Brilliant pub. First experienced during lockdown when outside drinks were permitted. Was great service.

Since moving to Lichfield I noticed the venue was always posting on Facebook, engaging with the local area and had a real sense of community.

When they enquired about trying to get a darts team going I messaged and set up a little meet and greet to hopefully start a team. We couldn't find much in the way of local leagues after COVID. So, we started our own singles league.

The league has gone from strength to strength and that is in no small part due to the pub and management of Leanne and Andy and all the support they give.

The pub itself always has something on, from live music, to quizzes and even a games night. Great beer, great staff, and...

Love all of the joules pubs! Especially the ones that have decent management!

The Duke of York, has a lovely outdoor area, plenty of space beautiful on the summer evenings when they are hosting entertainment!

Joules have a lovely selection of beers and ales, my favourite being a joules Blonde!

This pub in particular has super friendly and efficient staff, a warm pub atmosphere with a pleasant clientele, but I particularly appreciate their immense snack selection!

Great place always on the agenda when in in town! Can’t credit this place and the running of it though.

Awful service and awful noise. The lounge bar was not busy but we were served by rude staff. We felt like they were annoyed at us ordering drinks. We were then told we had to leave at 6pm because we had under 18s with us/ if we had known we would not have bothered going in. luckily we had already decided to leave as there was a very loud person making noise with a guitar and harmonica who was awful.
