Three of us popped in for a meal on Monday evening, having been in the week before for a quick pint and liking the look of the menu. First and foremost, the starters and mains were excellent, very tasty, varied and well presented. The desserts came across as perhaps bought in and a little underwhelming, considering the high quality of the two previous courses. The only thing that stops this being a 5 star review is the clear lack of staff. The waitress who served us (and seemingly most around us) was absolutely brilliant at her job, but clearly needed more staff on to help spread the work load. Granted it was probably busier than a normal Monday evening (which is good to see in such a lovely pub!), but I'd expect a city centre pub to be prepared for the odd extra customer on any given night, particularly in school holiday season. We will definitely be back soon 😁

If I could give minus stars this would rank at -100. Really rubbish service. Arrived and waited to be seated outside the pub, took the waiter 10 minutes before he even acknowledged us, then offered table service so we found a table and seated outside. Wanting breakfast we only had 30 minutes left to order it but the waiter was a no show. Didn't bother coming out to us, served other people ahead of us or was just not visible at all. The breakfast menu was EXTREMELY limited. Ok if you just wanted eggs because that was all that was on there just in different styles of being cooked. So after 25 minutes of no service we decided to book on the app, at which point the waiter came out and said that they weren't serving food until 12:00 a whole hour and a half to wait. Didn't have any indication what times food was served, no warning when you booked and no signage. Asked for a refund then had to wait to be sent an email to acknowledge the refund. Absolutely the worst service I've had the misfortune to recieve. Will never ho again and will never recommend to anyone. Appalling.

Booked in for Sunday Lunch, managed to fit us in on the day. Sat round the back of the bar, service was a little slow. Ordered 2x roast beef dinners with cauliflower cheese. The beef was nice, a little on the pink side, the roast potatoes were well seasoned and tasty, one of mine was a little overdone, carrots are well cooked, not the best cauliflower cheese I’ve had but not bad either, Yorkshire pudding was a bit naff, crispy edges that just turn to dust, the stuffing was really odd, the flavour of it was nice but the texture was like a biscuit & the colour was a bit underdone, cabbage sides were nice, the gravy is very watery. The chef is a big fan of thyme so the flavour is definitely there. Overall rated the food 4/5, the service was slow 3/5 and the atmosphere has been marked down due to the dog issue. Seems to be a problem everywhere now so if you’re a dog lover, not a problem. If you care about hygiene & don’t enjoy animals in your eating space or don’t enjoy listening to 2 dogs barking & yapping at each other during your meal, then probably avoid.

Went for lunch today with my partner. Lovely location and nice pub inside. Unfortunately lunch wasn't anything special. We both had the lunchtime baguettes with chips. The baguettes were quite underdone and soggy. Should have been toasted a lot more, as we're the chips. They could have done with more time. The missus had the pulled beef brisket with melted blue cheese. There was no blue cheese in sight (as per the picture). When she asked the waitress, it was taken back to the kitchen but brought back out within 20 seconds with a "The chef says the cheese is mixed in". On the plus side, the pint of diet coke went down well 👍🏽

What a great dog friendly pub and restaurant this is on the wharf. Probably our favourite in Lincoln. A mix of old exterior and tasteful yet traditional interior. The manager /owner was exceptionally hospitable letting us take 2 dogs in a quieter corner. The entire pub was accessible with good clean facilities. Amazing menu and my brother is still talking about his breakfast all made with fresh ingredients. I can't wait to return here in the future and sample some more of the extensive gin cocktails. It was pricey but for the location and hospitality and fun it was well worth the extra money.

I have been to this pub several times for a drink and I have found it to have a good location next to the Brayford with fast service. I went for a meal last night here seated outside, I ordered fish and chips and my girlfriend had a burrito. Both of which were nice my only complaint being the fish was quite small, it was more of a battered anchovy (I suppose I should have specified what fish they'd be battering). The service was a little slow for the food, it took around an hour which is definitely long enough, but the drinks came out within about 10 minutes.
