DISAPPOINTING! Took my kids for lunch as my daughter is called Oro an she wanted to go, as we walked in I was told to take a menu and sit, initially the waitress who took our order was absolutely brilliant. I ordered a burger which was awful, burnt to a crisp and drier than Gandhi's flip flop, the salad, which was one lettuce leaf, one slice of red onion and one slice of tomato was underneath the meat, finally it was covered in mayo (which it didn't say on the menu and i would have asked for it to be left off). I also asked for a seperate portion of chips for the table. My daughter who is 4yr old, wanted beans on toast, when it came out there was one piece of dry toast, a ramekin of microwaved beans and a portion of chips all on the same plate, sent it back as it wasn't right, returned on separate plates but still one piece of dry toast and ramekin of beans. Probably the simplest dish anybody could ask for and it was just wrong. My son ordered a pizza which was OK apart from the amount of flour underneath. I put it down to bad management for letting those orders leave the kitchen and a chef that doesn't know how to make the 2 easiest dishes that could be on a menu! The servers were all...
Read moreI recently had the opportunity to visit this gem on Smithdown Road - a wonderful family-run cafe that has become my go-to place for brunch!
First and foremost, the highlight of this cafe is undoubtedly the food. The ingredients are always fresh and cooked to perfection! I find myself looking forward to each visit, eager to try something new.
The decor exudes a cozy and inviting atmosphere, making it the ideal spot to unwind and enjoy your food. The friendly staff members are attentive and always greet you with a warm smile, creating an inviting and homey experience.
Supporting a family-run business is essential to me, and this cafe makes it effortless to do just that, it adds an extra layer of fulfillment to each visit. It's evident that the owners pour their hearts and souls into this establishment, and that passion shines through in every aspect of the cafe.
Whether you're a local resident or a passerby exploring the Smithdown area, I highly recommend visiting. I can't wait...
Read moreTop marks from me. We visited yesterday as we where in Liverpool and looking for a good breakfast. After receiving reccomendations we decided to visit here. On arrival there was plenty of seating. The server behind the counter gave us a couple of menus and told us he would come over and take our order shortly. After browsing the menu I opted for the Almighty English breakfast and a Latte. The prices where very reasonable. I asked for no mushrooms and brilliantly the waiter asked if I wanted an extra hash brown as an alternative. That is a big plus in my book. The drink and food arrived quickly. Everything cooked well and tasted great. The black pudding was also cooked perfectly and not hard as some places unfortunately provide via overcooking. Definitely worth the money. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. As we where leaving it was getting busy which is a very good sign. If I am ever up that way again I will revisit. 5...
