Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Liverpool

As a loyal customer of Costa Coffee I feel let down by this branch. The guy serving in the morning offered a poor service. He seemed fed up. No positive interaction with him and his way of talking was terrible. It was a genuine teenager attitude who doesn't want to be there despite him being older. He had technical issues with the machine so we waited a few minutes only to be told he could only take cash... but if that wasn't enough he didn't have change either, so we had to bring the exact amount or we couldn't get served. I ended up leaving without coffee and late for work. He had started preparing the coffee as well so the least he could have done is offer a complimentary coffee to avoid that going to waste, then put a cash only sign apologising for the inconvenience whilst trying to troubleshoot the machine or waiting for support staff to get it sorted. During my time in Costa I was shocked by how rude, ignorant and immature the staff were. Not only were they rude towards me but also rude to other customers. The girl with brown hair in a pony tale made me feel so unwelcome and uncomfortable that I left as quick as I could feeling upset about what she said to me and how she acted. So instead I just went next door to Tesco to purchase a drink. Never did I think that I would be treated so horribly by a member of staff in a company which is supossedly meant to be a calm and relaxing place. I like coming here when the holidays are on and all the students have gone home. It's quiet and peaceful and I like to bring my laptop and pretend I am working on something important.
