I was at this fantastic bar minding my own business, when I could clearly feel the eyes watching me, penetrating me. It was a street punk who wanted my drink because it looked so yummy. I told him he couldn’t have it, but he took it off me anyways and started to make fun of my ridiculous goatee. As I stand there crying all of a sudden the guy is grabbed by someone, it was my idol Tammi here to save me! She said “never fear, Tammi is here!” and immediately turned the guy into a pretzel and threw him out! Being the gracious and kind soul that she is Tammi then brought me another drink free of charge, she then ruffled my hair and said “chin up young chap, you shall always be safe when I’m about”. I have returned to the Liverpool Arts Bar every night ever since, knowing my watchful protector Tammi will be there. Read moreI came at a bit of a peak period as the bar was busier than I typically see it. This one staff member (I believe her name was Katy/Katie?) was such a breath of fresh air, despite the pressure you could see the bar was being put under with not much staff to the number of orders coming through. Super friendly, she was, and didn’t make me and my friends’ numerous cocktails order feel like an inconvenience to her (which, surprisingly, doesn’t happen often in hospitality at peak times). Read moreAmazing venue and super helpful staff. Arts Bar is such a vibe and has become my go-to bar in town. It has a really friendly, creative grass-roots culture, and you never quite know what to expect when you walk in - open mics, swinging dance classes, art exhibitions to name a few !
I have a few allergies so always cautious about what I can eat/drink. Holly was really helpful talking me through the cocktail menu, and took the time to make sure I was at ease.
