Read moreMyself and a friend popped into Docklands fish and chips during a sunny Sunday at the Albert dock. I've never visited this chippy before, so we thought we'd give it a try. Upon entering, the place is bright and clean, and the staff are friendly, and we were served promptly. We both decided to have fish 🐟 and chips 🍟 and mushy peas. The price for this meal was £14.99 which is a little pricy for such a meal at a takeaway, although there is a dine in option which we took. The portion size was good. The piece of battered fish was pretty big. The batter was light, although it lacked any real flavour, I thought. The fish was moist, and the chips were ok 👍🏻. Overall, it's not the best fish and chips I've ever had nor the worst. The Albert dock attracts a lot of tourists, so this place is aimed at the tourist. Overall, the place is worth a visit if you want some battered fish 🐟 and chips. There are no toilets within the dining area. However, public toilets are close...
Read moreHi, I stayed on the Titanic boat in the Albert Dock with 8 other members of my family for my sisters 60th Birthday, on the (4th April). We all thought we would go to the Docklands fish & chips shop & treat ourselves for our evening meal. HOW SHOCKED WE WERE AT THE RIDICULOUS RIP OFF PRICES. £8.45 for a fish & a small carton of chips was £2.20, (which ok wasnt too bad). It was £2.45 for a tiny fishcake. But how on earth can you charge anyone that price for a fish??? I'm going to write to the tourist board & inform them of the person who is running this shop & making hugh profits off local people, & tourist who come to visit from around the world. I understand that with the chip shop being situated on the Albert dock it would be more expensive, but this is pure GREEEEED!! Whoever is making all this money off hard working people should be ashamed of themselves. Never ever would I step foot in...
