to start with the drinks we got were really really well made, and the pastries are yummy, seemed a pretty nice place, but it’s really understaffed and the staff there are clearly overworked which meant they ended up being pretty rude.

we ordered two drinks, mine arrived and my friends took about 30 mins, other people served after us got their order within 5 mins just like me. Gave them a while to shout the number order but they didn’t. we figured something might’ve gone wrong, maybe the order didn’t process, or the barista had missed it (which would’ve been completely fine, life happens and there’s nothing wrong with waiting a while - like i said we just wondered if it had gone through/if everything was okay).

The front of house passed us whilst taking an order out and we asked politely if everything was okay (seriously, we gave no attitude whatsoever, like i said - things happen and it’s just a coffee) and if the order had gone through. The front of house seemed really fine with us asking, and the barista shouted at him to see what drink we asked for - the front of house told him what our drink was, and we basically got barked at by the barista over how long the line was saying “It’s on the way! did you not see how massive the queue was?” which felt so awkward for everyone who saw this happen. we felt really bad.

maybe the manager could hire another member of staff or stop making the staff there do table service? it’s a bit intense for two people to run that whole place by themselves and clearly it’s getting them down. there was really annoying music playing as well and it clearly got to the staff there. just seems like a badly run place with an air of overworking people until they lose all patience with everyone. coffee shops in prime tourist locations should do better because they obviously make a killing off...

Wow just wow! This cute place in the heart of albert dock is just amazing! We had literally just arrived in liverpool and headed straight to albert dock for lunch and whilst the dock is awash with fab eateries this place was heavenly! As we walked past we saw how packed it was and how incredible the focaccias were and we came straight back and got a table outside overlooking this iconic dock which just enhanced our wonderful experience. We had a chicken one and a pesto vegetarian foccacia and it was exquisite! They were huge! And we were completely stuffed we didnt have room for anything else! the coffee was delicious too We were attended by the lovely olivia who spoke great spanish but the star of the show was carina from south america!. What an incredible person! She is just out of this world and treated us like we were royality! As we were newly arrived in the city she went above and beyond to suggest great places to go and things to see/ eat etc and she is just so lovely. A real shining star and true asset to this fabulous eaterie we actually thought she was the owner as her heart and soul goes into making the most delicious foccacias! We will return 100% and hope to see carina again. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she is prime example of what customer services truly means. Great place to even just sit and have a coffee watching the...

I just had to come here to review this place as finding places with decent food and service seems to be the minority these days. So somewhere that gets it right deserves a good review. I had been desperate to try this place and it lived up to the hype. My mum and I decided to get two different focaccias and split it, so we had hot honey salami and chicken and prosciutto and wow, both were SO delicious and you get a lot in each sandwich, both were equally delicious. I did order an antipasti plate and it did take a bit of time to come out after the sandwiches, but it has to be appreciated it’s a small business making everything to order so that was ok. I had the signature pistachio coffee which was amazing… so worth it. My daughter had the kids chicken pesto focaccia, she enjoyed it! My only thing to say is my sister has coeliac disease and a cows milk allergy, I didn’t see anything that would have catered for dietary requirements if she had been with us and also it’s a cross contamination area being a small kitchen (so bare this in mind if it applies to you) … brought home a salted caramel cannelloni and a pistachio cannelloni and both were WOW! Loved this place and it’s cosy but fast paced little Italian vibe, can’t...

Another great addition to The Royal Albert Dock! My friend went the other day and sent me a picture of her Focaccia goats cheese sandwich and i had to check it out! Taking a nice 10 minute stroll from the business district I headed to The Tate and followed the crowds to this gem! The queue was out the door and the outside tables were packed - The sign of every great culinary offering! As I entered the small quaint space, I could see/smell the coffees, sandwiches, cannolis and as I hadn't eaten breakfast I was famished! I was overwhelmed with the menu - reading the menu board on the wall and the specials on the counter - What to get???? Caprese Rosso / Mortadella Truffle / Chicken & Pancetta / The Specials - Goats Cheese & Caramelised Onion 🤤 I quickly came to the conclusion I will be trying them all over the coming months and opted for the Prosciutto Rosso 🙌 Knowing there was a wait I got a Pistachio Cannoli and devoured it outside! AMAZING! 10 minutes later I got my order and OMG - the size, the weight - What a beast! It was worth the wait and I'm already looking forward to my next visit - Goats Cheese next with a Salted Caramel Cannoli!

First impression: Very busy location at the Albert Dock’s complex. Staff were friendly, but very overwhelmed with their work. Tiny coffee shop, and also was overcrowded! Staff were extremely busy, they worked like robots. Was no interactions with customers. Tiny little tables (4) with a few chairs. The good think was that, it wasn’t cold, the heating was on! Prices of the coffees and hot drinks (hot chocolate) are a bit higher than usual, however they give you a good portion of it. I had a pistachio americano, also we had a hot chocolate. The cream they covered the mugs looked nice - but only for a few seconds as the cream started to melt down by the hot coffee. The pistachio was not 100% clean, unfortunately I bite on many shells. Ended up with the coffee with full of pistachios and shells. I didn’t like that at all… The tables and the floor was dirty (not only marks on them, ABSOLUTE minging). Staff wasn’t bothered about that I personally think it is a big problem. Give them a go if you wish.
