Good is amazing here. However the staff are so rude.. apart from the lady who works there sheâs the only nice one. The tall man with beard is so rude every time we visit. Always got a chip on his shoulder. Service goes a long way. Being kind goes a long way. A lady came in whilst we was eating ( we was only ones in restaurant) and asked if her mother could use the toilet as she is disabled and the other toilets next door are upstairs. The man with the beard complete dismissed her and said no. âDue to insurance reasonsâ what sort of excuse is that. That is discrimination against disabled people. So what if she got a drink from the restaurant she would be able to use the toilet? Please can you learn some training on how to speak and treat the general public. Just because your in a mood or having a bad day doesnât mean you have to speak to others like that. Was uncalled especially given the restaurant only just opened. Please understand how your actions have an effect on others. Would the women going the toilet affect your...
Read moreI wasnât able to get a booking in the Bond Street branch but thought we would give this a try. It was nowhere near as crammed or busy as Bond Street and was more brightly lit, I appreciated this. I also noticed the menu prices were cheaper than Bond Street and thereâs no mandatory service charge. Service was fine also.
Unfortunately the food didnât meet my expectations. The mixed grill portion here is very small. We ordered a mixed grill for 4 people and this seemed the same size as a mixed grill for even 2 people in Bond Street. It came with ONE skewer of kebab to be shared amongst 4 people, this seems excessively miserly and not okay. The taste was also a bit bland and not seasoned as much as I expected.
The food quality was fine and better than Turkish restaurants in Manchester but is not comparable to the Bond Street branch and I was still hungry after we had finished! Canât recommend this place at all unfortunately considering what else is...
Read moreWe booked a table of 8 which included 4 young children under 4 to enjoy a lunch with our friends visiting. Unfortunately we ended up leaving the restaurant before we were able to order because of an odd policy Iâve never heard any restaurant enforcing which is that we werenât allowed to order main dishes for children, only the childrenâs menu which consisted of nuggets and fish fingers which you donât want when you go to a Turkish⌠I asked why we couldnât do this and didnât get a straight answer. I wouldâve thought theyâd be happy to sell the higher priced dishes over kids food, but they told us to order kids food or leave. Iâve been to Elif on Bold St many times and always had lovely food and service but wonât be going back after this experience. They were happy to lose ÂŁ200 which we then went and spent at another restaurant down the road. Strange policy that theyâd rather see customers turned...
