Called in for something quick to eat before a play at the Royal Court Theatre. Being a Saturday it was very busy but we managed to find seats. I was worried that service might be slow due to how busy it was but couldn't have been more wrong! Struggled to order via the App initially as I have since found you need the new Greenking one recently upgraded so need to register again with them. Anyway ordered as a guest and literally as I put my phone away cutlery and plates appeared on the table. This was quickly followed by our drinks, because I was expecting the order to take a while I'd already been to the bar as well, and soon after our food. We ordered 5 small plates and all arrived together which was great because with some tapas you often end up waiting for the one you're looking most forward too! All were very nice so I feel a bit stingy only giving 4 stars for the food however I felt that a couple of the dishes could have been slightly larger portions that said there was still plenty and I didn't come away hungry - if the option was there to give 3/4 of a star I'd add that to the 4 already given. As said I couldn't fault the service, a nice touch was when the plates were brought out the young server wasn't happy with one of them and after placing it down had another look at it then picked it back up took it away and returned with a replacement - only a little thing but it showed a bit of pride in ensuring happy customers. So in summary, a good visit to a bar with a good atmosphere, great staff, clean environment, plenty of screens to watch the sports and...
Read moreWent here for a valentines meal and was very disappointed. Wondered why it wasn’t busy (despite being told a 45 min wait for food) at least we now know why. Our starters were nice and came quickly, the bao bun chicken seemed like sliced chicken from a packet with sweet chilli sauce, but okay nonetheless. Mains were not the same story, the mash was bland and I only ate it after lathering in salt and pepper. The cabbage was very watery and made the rest of the meal taste like cabbage (at least some extra flavour). Both the wings and chips we ordered came very strangely plated in takeaway style bags. Wasn’t too bad for the wings but made the chips really inconvenient to eat. Very odd way to plate food it makes it look cheap and the restaurant is decorated quite nicely. The drinks are also ridiculously priced, nearly £10 for a double gin and lemonade, you wouldn’t even pay those prices in london. This review however is no reflection on the staff who were lovely and the reason we gave any stars at all, especially the lady with glasses and tattoos who was very attentive. We left halfway through the meal after ordering and paying online. ...
Read moreFirst and foremost - shoutout to Stu for his amazing service. He checked on us regularly to make sure everything’s ok.
Secondly, the location is fantastic. Right between Lime Street and Central stations - and hence the name !? The decor is modern and minimalistic and the waiters were really friendly.
Coming down to the actual thing - Food. We ordered Mac and Cheese, which also came with Garlic Ciabatta. Overall very tasty and super cheesy. We also got one Fried Chicken Ranch Burger and I’ve got to say, it was amazing. The patty was extremely tender and juicy. It came with fries and onion rings, the former - a bit disappointing because of the portion and the latter - simply great. Next, we got Warm Chocolate Fudge Cakes which came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was satisfactory but the plating was very well done.
Apart from these, we also got some drinks - an LIIT and a Johnny Walker - great as expected!
We used the app to order and the speed was actually good. Overall, an amazing experience. I would definitely...
