Disappointed by this place having been to the one in Manchester previously and had a great experience. Very dark - ok it's designed that way. Bar staff and reception staff very efficient and helpful but the lad who took us for ace throwing clearly couldn't have given a toss if he was there or not. We were a only a duo so assumed it would be funny and engaging but the lad had no craic at all and safety brief was about 20seconds long. We started off badly as we had to go search for a staff member to get started despite being ready and waiting well beyond our booked time. Our scores weren't tallied correctly, not added up and the whole experience was just abit shit. I'm all for loud music and raves bur when you can just about hear what the staff are saying, it's maybe too loud. Definitely ranting but really cross to be told we couldn't order a pint while axe throwing either - I absolutely accept safety first but we were sober and listening to any instructions given so not like it was a large rowdy risky group. Only redeeming quality was the excellent and efficient bar staff who collected our order and served our drinks in record time after the axe throwing. Would recommend the Manchester site over this one any day as the staff were MUCH more engaging and made it a better experience there.

Went a played the axe throwing. Very expensive for what it actually is. Then played the shuffle boards which were great. Drinks expensive. Staff really nice.

Had an amazing time playing pool at Boom Battle Bar Liverpool! The tables were in great condition, the atmosphere was lively with great music, and Terri was super friendly and helpful. It’s the perfect spot to chill with friends, enjoy a few drinks, and get competitive. The bar has a great selection of cocktails and beers, and the whole place has a fun, energetic vibe that makes the experience even better. Whether you're a casual player or serious about your game, Boom Battle Bar is definitely worth a visit—I’ll be back for another round soon!

Booked this to start out a night out for my 30th birthday as not all of my friends are big drinkers so wanted to do something a bit different to start off with and I've enjoyed axe throwing and crazy golf before. It was fairly busy when we got there but absolutely dead by the time we left around 11.

We did axe throwing first and in case you weren't aware you do have to have a babysitter stand in the cage with you which would be fine and welcomed if they were adding to the experience and bringing some enthusiasm, the guy we had was nice enough but not really engaging at all, just did the bare minimum and stood in the corner looking quietly putting out points on the little whiteboard, not much direction given either. My friend also tripped and got a splinter in the wood shavings. I also didn't feel like there was anywhere safe to put the axes, just on the side which was also the back of someone's seat! We started late because staff were busy but as soon as the hour was up we were told we were done, literally on the dot of the hour.

We had some drinks next and then we were due to start crazy golf. I feel like the staff member who gave us our equipment was upset with us because he just put everything down and walked away, no explanation of the course or even where it was in the bar. The course itself was ok but multiple holes were out of order, he didn't mention this before we started. There were only 9 holes and by then we decided we just wanted to get the experience over with and leave so we all just rushed through it so we could get out of there.

As someone who's worked in hospitality I do feel for the staff but this kind of venue really relies on them to make the experience. I think this venue is probably trying to do too much and the location slightly out of the way just doesn't help to add any atmosphere. I wouldn't go again at night I'd choose somewhere that does one type of activity as well.

The one good thing was the music, fair...

Not what we had hoped for. Booked the Bottomless Brunch with a game of golf, Pizza's were really good, but I'm afraid that's where the good stuff stops. Upon arrival nothing was set up for our group of 45, given that we had already paid over 1.5k I would have expected to have our own area set up, with dedicated staff to serve. Nobody seemed to know what was going on for the first 30 minutes, and getting everyone a drink was very slow. The cocktails were poor, we watched the guy making them and there was only 3 double measures of alcohol poured into a 6 pint jug, so basically you were getting half a single in each glass of cocktail you were served, which is not right, and probably not legal! Some of the beer after about 45 mins of being there was served warm, it just felt like they weren't prepared. When I asked about the golf I was told we could do that only when we decided to finish the Brunch, this is not as it is advertised on line, why would we finish a bottomless Brunch that we had paid over 1.5 grand for to go and play crazy golf? It's advertised as enjoy a round of golf with your prosecco, not down your prosecco and then play golf without a drink! Our group ended up paying more for their drinks as the included drinks just didn't cut it. Overall well done on making a huge profit out of us, but you've lost 45 potential future customers. We had another similar event booked at another venue straight afterwards which cost £500 less and included pool, shuffleboard and bowling with drinks that were not limited to any particular brand etc, which was ran really well and luckily made up for a poor start to our team day out. This is not a dig at the staff, the staff are freindly but just not...

EDIT: Boom Battle Bar replied to this review, claiming they were sorry and for me to email them so they could investigate. I had, in fact, already emailed them with no reply. So, as they'd asked, I emailed them again, still with no reply. So, publicly, they want to appear to care, but there's actually zero interest.

I had a booking for shuffleboard at 5pm on the 27th of April. There was a young child amongst our group and, when we arrived for our booking, it was instantly obvious that the environment was totally unsuitable for a child. The place was filled with very loud, drunk people. The website states that the bar is child free after 7pm, which made me believe that a 5pm booking would allow for a child friendly experience and environment, but that's definitely not what we got. I waited for quite some time for someone to talk to me at the reception, so I could voice my concerns. When someone finally spoke to me, they said they couldn't help and said a manager would have to sort it. I waited longer and someone else came over, who I assume was the manager. I explained the situation and that we didn't feel comfortable going ahead with the booking and detailed the reasons why. I expected to be offered a refund since we weren't getting the activity we'd booked and paid for, but they just said they understood and wished me a good rest of the day. It was very disappointing, because we were there for a birthday celebration, and had to leave...
