Motel Bar — Restaurant in Liverpool

Got absolutely fleeced here last night, this is not a review of the bar as only popped in for about ten minutes with a colleague, i can't drink due to suffering from stroke so while my colleague had a drink i thought I'd grab a quick can of fanta which they charged me £3.50 for, not even a pint this was a simple can of fanta! No doubt you will be buying these in bulk being a bar of course so the mark up must be immense, i honestly don't see how you can justify charging me £3.50 for a can of fanta? £1 to £1.50 max would be more than fair for us to pay, I'd appreciate you returning me some of the profit and I'm not even joking. Went here in April of 23. Had a great time! Did karaoke and had a ton of fun. Just went back in February of 24 on a Thursday night. We were stopped at the door by two guys and told we couldn't come in because i was wearing black sweatpants and tennis shoes. While leaving, i looked and and saw that the place was empty. What a joke. I know they are trying to keep up with the other clubs in the area, but to turn money away on a Thursday night when you are empty is not the way to do it. This is especially true when you call yourself a "dive bar". Clearly, they should research that term....

Myself and my friend stumbled across this bar last night during our one night stay in Liverpool. We had an amazing night singing along to some top tunes and I loved the fact that no one cared how good or poor the karaoke singers were, it was enjoyed by all! The only reason I hadn't given it a 5 * is due the bar staff putting in double measures without asking the customer first although they had asked throughout the evening until after 12.00am where I guess they assume people wouldn't notice due to being intoxicated although...
