TLDR: DO NOT use this branch. Terrible service, late delivery, cold stale food.
We waited 90 minutes for a pizza and two sides. It was a Saturday night, I know Saturdays are hectic but 90 mins is unacceptable.
After waiting 40 mins we called them for an update and got a pretty unapologetic brush-off about them being short-staffed. The person who answered said that the food was ready and they’d get it to us as soon as they could. Again I completely understand being short staffed, it happens, but customers shouldn’t have to pick up the slack for poor management. Also, the other negative reviews here singling out their customer service are all correct - zero customer service skills here. After about 65 mins I rang to just cancel the order but got another vague answer about the food just having left for delivery and it would be with us shortly. Another 25 mins later and the food finally arrives, stone cold, congealed cheese, clearly has been sitting for too long in the shop and in the car. Read moreI ordered two pizzas from Papa’s in Allerton — both missing key ingredients, and the crust was so thick it took up nearly half the pizza. I’ve been a loyal customer for years and have overlooked several recent mistakes, convincing myself it would get better. This was my first-ever complaint about food anywhere.
The girl on the phone was polite and offered 50% off my next order. But when my wife opened the second pizza, it was identical to the first — same missing toppings, same huge crust. I called back, intending to give feedback only, and was passed to the manager. He was instantly aggressive, accused me of being a “serial complainer,” refused a refund, and told me to bring the pizzas back.
When I returned them, he became even more confrontational, called the police, and — incredibly — implied to the officers that they “give the police a discount,” as if that should sway the situation. Shockingly, it seemed to work in his favour.

Read moreRUDE, I placed an order on New year's Eve I respect that is a busy time period although what I did not expect was the lack of customer service skills in the shop. The person I spoke to on the phone was nothing but rude. When I placed my order I clicked delivery on the website after payment I quickly realised that the website did not ask for my address (website error) upon realising this I immediately rang the shop and explained the situation to them. I was told that I had to come to them because they are very busy and do not have time to come to me and then was hung up on. After being hung up on I rang back and explained that I have covid-19 and cannot leave the house as I am in isolation and even if I wasn't I do not drive so I couldn't get to shop anyway, I apologise for the inconvenience. The person on the phone hung up again.
