Popworld are a disgrace. Me and my friend were kicked out on Saturday night. We was buying shots and he said they are 4 for £5, didn’t realise til the next time we bought shots, that offer isn’t it on on that day and we looked at the bank statement on our phone and they charged us £9.20 for the 4 without telling us. I asked about it, they wouldn’t do anything about it so I asked for the manager who came out with a face like thunder they had obviously called the doorman up before the manager came out cause he was waiting this 6 ft 6 doorman appeared and told us to leave as we are no longer welcome on the premises. How many people do they do this too. They are ripoffs!!!

Seems as I can’t reply to your answer to defend ourselves I’ve have to add to my previous review… Answer to your reply is all LIES!!! I wasn’t aggressive at all. I wasn’t drunk. I was raising my voice because it was so loud in there and it’s a wonder they could hear me. I asked your manager to come to the end of the bar so she could hear me. The doorman was already there as the manager came out. I was not offered a refund. I was asked if I had drank the shots and I had because it was roughly 30 mins after that I queried it. We went to buy more roughly 30 mins later when being told that offer wasn’t on. Then we checked out bank details and it showed we was charged full price. Yes your barman did get it wrong but he didn’t even apologise. He should have told us as it went through the till and before we swiped the card. We was asked to leave and I said I’ll finish our drinks first because we had paid for them. My friend went off to say bye to her friend cause we was leaving and your doorman grabbed her arm. He’s said just before that, that it was me not welcome not my friend so why grab my friends arm. I thinks it rude that you can’t reply to your comments. Reading other reviews… it sounds like you do this a lot… ripping...

I absolutely love this place! I always end up in pop world if I’m out in town on a night out and was there on Wednesday 23rd February with my friend and we had a ball as always, the music is mixed and that’s what I like about it there’s a bit of everything played. The bar staff are lovely too and friendly there’s one young girl especially that’s really nice she’s tall and slim and always has her hair out straight (brown hair) and she’s always smiling and has a little dance behind the bar while serving people 100% customer service she gives and is a credit to yous pop world. Also the 2 doormen on that picture are always friendly and polite and me and my friend had just popped out for a smoke and a lad wouldn’t leave us alone and I had told him to leave us and he got a bit rude and annoyed at me so I asked one of them can’t remember which one but asked him to just keep an eye on us and once I walked in would he kindly just shout my friend in to get away from him and he did so thank you!! Also the girl on the counter were you pay was really nice, I’ve never had a bad experience with any of the doormen or staff inside the place and some of the reviews left on here are hard to believe really so not sure if some people just like to say bad things to bring a place down but hey I actually believe if you behave as you should and have respect for those working and serving us to be able to enjoy ourselves then you get the respect back but rudeness doesn’t get you that maybe that’s the issue with most reviews. Went in here last night for my hen do. We sat in the corner of the club on some seats. The area was not cordoned off and there was no reserve sign. Then we were approached by an extremely rude man (Manager apparantly?) who told us to move as the area is £400 with some drinks included. We were shocked but we all started to leave the area and we were having a laugh saying how expensive it was to sit on some seats under the stairs. The man clearly had zero sense of humour and said "right you're going" and grabbed my shoulders and pushed me - a 5 foot 31 year old who has never in my life been chucked out of anywhere! I told him to not tough me and I was leaving without him grabbing me. He then got called his bouncers!! who looked extremely embarrassed. As we all started to make our way down the stairs a female manager appeared and was so immature and rude to a member of my family who was trying to explain what had happened. Not to stay in there because at this point all I wanted was to leave quickly but to complain about the man who grabbed me. She was uninterested and worse than him!

I will never step foot in there again and you lost the custom of 20 people last night who were planning on spending the whole night in there and spending a lot of money, so your loss!

I would not recommend this place to anyone and I certainly wouldn't pay £400 to sit on some scruffy stools in a scruffy corner of a scruffy club no matter how many drinks were included...
