Be careful of being ripped off!
After ordering 2 pints of cider on Sunday evening, we were a bit taken aback when the £10 we had given in wasn't enough to pay,and we still owed 35p? After sitting down and questioning the cost, it didn't add up that a pint could not be £5.17 and a half p has half p no longer is in circulation! After going back to the dark haired older barmaid I asked how much a pint of cider was? she was quite abrupt (has if she'd almost been caught out), and was informed that a pint of cider was £3.70! To which I asked why we'd been charged £10.35? She told me she needed to speak to the manageress! She walked away spoke with a blonde woman, both looked down at me, then she returned with a receipt showing me a charge for 2 cider and a pint of fosters!!! 2 questions here! How was she able to produce a receipt 10 minutes after the transaction, and why waswere we charged for a pint of lager?straight away she was told we never bought a pint of fosters, which she was well aware of! And without question I was refunded the overcharge! £2.95, which again seems an odd price! No apology, no nothing! I don't no what scam there running here, but something isn't ringing true! there's no doubt their making a killing with a lot of inebriated customers who aren't checking what their...
Read moreBar staff were rude and got orders wrong many times. When corrected there attitudes were disgusting. A large group were here yesterday approx 20 and they took a disliking to a member of our group because he didn’t have a scouse accent, and therefore refused to serve him stating he had already drank too much. Absolute bull. After trying and failing to rationalise the situation with the doormen as the bar staff refused to speak to us to explain we left and will certainly never return. Never seen victimisation like it in Liverpool before especially on paddy’s weekend. Disgusting behaviour from the bar staff - they were down...
Read moreThis bar is guaranteed to get you up on your feet dancing with live music most nights of the week the atmosphere is really good although when it is busy here you will wait a while to be served at the bar as per everywhere else in Liverpool.
The toilets could do with a lick of paint an a good scrub but in general if you want a good night out in Liverpool City centre then I would recommend a visit to Tess Rileys.
Lastly I must point out also that all the staff that work at Tess Rileys always come across polite an helpful as and...
