Literally one of the worst sushi places I’ve tried in London. I’m sure most of these reviews are fake!! Visited today after a recommendation… worst mistake I’ve made in a while. We got the all you can eat option….. an absolute rip off for the quality and taste.

Service- The service was atrocious. I had to ask for things repeatedly and the waiters were not interested at all. They wouldn’t even stop to ask me what I want they would carry on walking and nod… and my request wouldn’t be fulfilled. I told them our order was wrong MULTIPLE times and this was still not corrected. Again, absolutely blasé. We asked to not pay the service charge (I’ve only ever done this 3 times in my whole life when the service was terrible, and I always get asked what was wrong), and were not even asked why we didn’t enjoy the service…..

Food- Ooomg where do I begin?! First of all. The quality is absolutely dreadful. I am not usually a fan of all you can eat sushi places anyway because you cannot compare the quality to high end restaurants, however sushi mania is 10000% better! The salmon sashimi was TINY and CHEWY?! The salmon nigiri had salmon that was not properly cleaned. When I asked the manager about this, he laughed and said it’s just the tissue that connects the skin….?????? WHAT?! There was no offer to replace this so we had to cut this off ourselves. The small rolls were decent but absolutely nothing worth mentioning at all. The chicken karage comes in a portion of 4 thumb sized chicken pieces and the wasabi prawns come in a portion of just two barely-king-sized prawns. Although this is an all you can eat place, the smaller portions mean you waste time reordering food (for someone who wants to utilise the 90 minutes of subpar food). We found the best part of the meal was the garlic fried rice…. That says a lot for a sushi place! I’m a die hard sushi fan and I found myself filling up on the garlic rice because it was so good compared to the other lacklustre food.

I calculated the price of our meal had we gone to sushimania and it cost £16 less…. And the food has so much more flavour and quality. Never again!!!

I would avoid like the plague if I saw an honest review like this… unfortunately people haven’t posted enough pictures and reviews of the place! Wish I had known before I wasted £40+ on fried rice.

Pictures- The picture of the fried chicken, shredded lettuce and the prawns were taken as soon as they arrived. I’ve seen better presentation at...

While this is not the Omakase kind of sushi place - it is still a very authenticate Japanese high grade sushi place. We have been to Japan and lived in California for many years - eaten is some of the best sushi places. We were not as satisfied with the sushi - esp nigiris after coming to London. We have eaten at many high end sushi places in London over last 5 years - including Michelin star rated ones - the one thing that has always bothered us about sushi in London is the rice - it is always cold and very hard - while it is supposed to be body temp warm and supposed to melt in your mouth. We walked in Ai Sushi - without reservation just walking past. But oh - what a delight. Menu selection is great. Nigiris and rolls had perfect rice - first time in 5 years for us - what a delight. We also tried their lamb chops to try different things. One of the best - even compared to American and European restaurants. Our server Anaisha (not sure of spelling) was really very helpful and cheerful. Overall - a great pleasureful evening for me and my wife. Btw - forgot to mention - not very long but they have good selection of...

Below average service and food, thought we would try it out as it was across the road to Nippon Izakaya but if all you can eat mediocre sushi is what you want then go ahead. The beef rubs and prawn tempura were nice but that’s it. Also there’s seating on the floor in a hole. Not the most comfortable or sanitary as people walk on it with their shoes and you have to touch the floor to sit in and get out. There are normal tables with chairs you can ask to sit on, but keep it in mind. The salmon sashimi was falling apart and the salmon belly was so tough, I had two pieces of it and let our server know and she said okay I’ll let the chef know. She said she would take it off the bill but didn’t which we found out when received the bill, she then didn’t give the bill when we asked for it and we had to ask the man working. I wouldn’t go again. It does get busy as they have all you can eat however the quality isn’t there. The quality is across the road especially...

I can't believe I've been living close to this gem of a restaurant for nearly 2 years and only just went to it now. It's so good and def a must try if you like Japanese food! I went here for my birthday with a couple of my friends. We opted for the buffet and we were all super satisfied with bellies full. The salmon sashimi and the salmon rolls were personally my favourites out of the sushi since the salmon was so fresh and marble-y. The tempura, squid and duck rolls were really good too. If you're bringing a friend that isn't too big on sushi, their hot dishes are still worth trying. The sea weed was really fresh. Overall the food is amazing and def worth every pound.👌 The atmosphere is lovely. The seating for the buffet can feel a bit squished in during busy times but you're too busy choosing your food options from the menu anyway so it's not that much of a hassle. This has become my go to place if I ever crave for Japanese food! 10/10
