This place used to be 'ok'. It was never great, but for a local takeaway it was acceptable.

BUT. It is now AWFUL. Today was a simple vegetable curry with rice, prawn balls and sauce with egg rice, and chips.

The curry WAS NOT CURRY. As with a very geographically close competitor, the 'curry' has been replaced with a watery, gelatinous, flavourless, colourless, un-spiced, goop. It also had vegetables that tasted strongly of rotten vinegar. And as if that wasn't terrible enough, I found myself eating TWO pieces of PLASTIC!

The rice is the cheap stuff that you'd leave sat in the back of your cupboard...

The sauce for the prawn balls is now a very cheap, sweet, coloured water.

Even the chips were dry and 'old' tasting. And ironically, all of the food was cooked fresh as it was an early meal (5.50pm).

As for eating in - I've lived here for 40 years. I can count on one hand the number of times I have seen anyone eat in the restaurant. Compare that to the chinese in Greenwich by the cutty sark which is packed out almost from the minute the doors open...

Would I recommend this place now, having eaten here for decades?...

Ordered 5 dishes and came to £52. Food that arrived was below standard.

Rice was ordered as a large and wouldn’t feed 2 people and for £8.60 absolute appalled. we also ordered bbq ribs which were dry. We rang the restaurant and were accused of lying. We said that the bbq ribs were dry and informed that people don’t like bbq sauce on the ribs. We asked for them to collect the delivery and refund the items and were just told to deal with just eat they also then said we can take the food back. The restaraunt is 2 miles from our home so not an option. Very rude lady in the phone will not order again. Just eat need to stop using poor quality restaurants. People work hard for there money including these workers. But people also don’t want to be conned out of there money for such poor level of service. I have an 8 year old who I feel can cook better quality than this. People save your money and go somewhere where you hard earned cash will be respected rather than microwave rice charges at an extortionate rate with poor customer service. The moto was just deal...

I've just had supper at the restaurant that took over from Lane Tien. New owners, management and chef. It's called Anyi. It was absolutely delicious. They don't have a website or printed takeaway menus yet but should have next week. It's a good mixture of traditional Cantonese and speciality Sichuan dishes. The furnishings and the decor are an improvement on Lane Tian, though the lighting is still very bright. The menu is laid out slightly confusingly in that all the Cantonese dishes are first then all the Sichuan dishes following so you to have to look in two different places for each of the appetisers, mains and accompaniments. The service was friendly but the plain steamed rice was only brought out from the kitchen last when we had nearly finished everything else. I think they would also benefit from some more vegetarian options. However these are just teething problems and I have every hope this will end up being even better than Lane Tien was. It's good to support local enterprise's...

What an amazing find! Every now and again I have a quick google to see if there are any local restaurants I’ve overlooked, and it paid off brilliantly today. Such rich spicy Sichuan flavours that are a rarity in London. The braised chicken (easily enough for 2 - I took half home) cooked on the bone , was delightfully tender and with beautiful deep and moorish spice, with chunky vinegary Taro. The cucumber salad was delicious and showcases the great use of simple vegetables as main ingredients in this style of food. The restaurant was quiet, but still had a nice ambiance. I must take more people with me next time, so I can order more dishes! Good value, great food and well worth a visit.

Let me start by saying 'chinese food' is a misnomer. This is "regional" and "northern" Chinese cuisine, one shouldn't come to a restaurant like this and order the boring takeaway items like sweet and sour pork, chop suey, or special fried rice, that's so 80s and 90s! We had the sliced whelk with coriander and fresh chillies, century egg with tofu, and the best of all was the baked chicken, so soft the meat fell off the bone. Absolutely delicious.

First time trying restaurant, we will definitely be bank. Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. Starters were salt and pepper wings and sesame prawn toast, lovely portion size and wings were nice and crispy. A few diff mains but the sweet n sour chicken and also the braised pork were lovely. Best takeaway I’ve had for ages, highly recommend 5*
