I went to this cafe last week. I was very disappointed with the service. Firstly there was a guy there who was serving. He was very rude because he did not know how to conduct himself. I just stood there waiting to be served and his service manner was unfriendly. The owner who is very nice told him to take my order. I ordered an omelette and chips. and a take away coffee The plate was brought to me. There was a lot if chips but the omlete was very thin put across the plate with the chips. It was watered down and had not been seasoned. It tasted bad. That is not how you make omlette. it could of been egg powder they used, I do knot know. The coffee was like dirty water. He made it very very weak I left the coffee there as you could not drink it.. Horrible food and drink. I have been there before and ordered and everything I gave a thumbs up 👍 to. The nice man and lady there served delicious food and hot drinks and were very nice with the service. This time the new guy there did not serve good. I will not go there again. Very...
Read moreHave stopped here in the past for a takeaway roll and cup of tea and have always enjoyed the food.
The café always looks busy and clean and tidy.
The staff are nice and friendly andd the food smells nice and looks delicious.
Today for the first time I managed to stop and enjoy a sit down breakfast instead of eating on the go.
I had scrambled egg on crusty bread with a portion of mushrooms and have to say it was piping hot and absolutely delicious.
Of course I had a cup of tea which was nice and hot and they left the tea bag in which I prefer as I like a strong cup of tea.
If you are passing and are hungry then give this place a look.
Parking is available outside for 30 minutes and restricted parking opposite between 10-12 but free all...
Read moreFood quality used to be much better than it is now. And if one is a vegetarian/vegan, the menu is ridiculously limited. It's also far too expensive for some of the food items they serve. No Jacket Spud with butter or beans should cost £6+ ever, let alone in a cafe. Or maybe I just can't keep up with this cost of living nightmare we're all living with... The upside is they serve a great cuppa and, for meat-eaters, they offer a decent range of foods - including roasts, spaghetti bols etc. Loyal locals keep the place going as it's not near regular footfall so there are always customers present but it's never packed - which means one can always find a table. It's always clean and the staff are always efficient...
