Caspian Restaurant — Restaurant in London

For many years, we have loyally supported this restaurant, braving all kinds of weather to enjoy what was once a hallmark of delicious food. It saddens us deeply to say that our most recent experiences have compelled us to reconsider our patronage.

Our latest visit was particularly disheartening. We ordered starters and what was promised as authentic Persian dishes. As connoisseurs of quality cuisine, it was immediately apparent that the standards we had come to expect had not been met. The essence of what made their food special seemed lost, a shadow of its former glory.

It is with a heavy heart that we write this review. This restaurant has been a part of our lives for years, and we have cherished our times here. However, the noticeable decline in food quality has led us to decide that, regrettably, we cannot continue our support.

We were regular customers at this restraunt, food was fresh and tasty. We ate here at least every fortnight. And ordered takeaways regularly too. Service is very slow but the food was worthwhile. Ordered from them 2 takeaways about 4 months apart. Most disappointing and disgusting meals.Clearly not fresh, all the grilled food was tasteless, the lamb mince skewers were skewers of fat with very little actual meat. Food was bland and although asked for everything to be very well done the lamb cutlet skewers ( we ordered overall 5 meals) were way undercooked. Everything was very greasy. Extremely disappointed as standards have clearly deteriorated badly. What a shame it was our most favourite restraunt in SE. And it's not cheap!! Too expensive for the portion and definitely not worth the...

EDIT: thank you for the response but that is categorically untrue and under no circumstances did you offer anything complimentary! You seemed to place all the blame on Uber Eats, even though the food was delivered on time and the food was covered so there is very little chance the thick hairs came from them. I have downgraded the rating to One Star as a result of this outright lie. Avoid this place.

Nice traditional place, food is tasty, expensive but we ordered food for a takeout and it literally full of thick black hair.
