Worst restaurant experience ever. Rude staff, especially the manager - unprofessional. Very noisy making conversation near impossible, and very little room with tables too close together. We had booked a table for Saturday evening a week in advance. We were having a nice meal, we don’t get to see each other often so were having a nice catch up therefore were in no rush - a good thing really as the service wasn’t the quickest. We had our starter and mains – I noticed the staff kept looking over to see if we had finished our mains - as soon as we had, they came over to clear the plates and had the cheek to ask how long we were going to be. This was before they had even offered us dessert. We said we were not yet ready to leave – they said they needed the table and that we had to hurry up. When I said we had booked this table a week ago, they tried to tell me that we had booked it earlier on in the day and that we were told whilst booking that there was a time limit on tables. I clarified that this was not true and that we had not been told as such. They then apologised and very begrudgingly offered us a free drink each and took our order for dessert – bearing in mind this would have meant us being at the table for longer considering they were in such a rush to get rid of us. We took up the offer of the drinks. I happened to be looking on my phone at reviews of the restaurant when the manager came over with the drinks. He saw my phone and said “if I was going to write a review the drinks are not on the house” and stormed off with the drinks. We then had our desserts. A substantial period of time had passed when the manager finally brought over the bill. He literally threw it on the table and again walked away in a strop without a word. Very unprofessional and disgraceful. I will never return to this restaurant again as I have never been made to feel so uncomfortable in a restaurant as I was here. Food was nothing special and very overpriced for what it...
Read moreToday I visited this restaurant and I really don’t understand the bad reviews. It was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The service was impeccable, attentive, friendly, and professional without being overbearing. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and made to feel welcome. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations. All the waiters were incredibly kind and attentive, especially with my toddler. They catered to her every need with such patience and care, making sure she felt comfortable throughout our meal, which in turn meant, we were fully able to enjoy our meals. Their thoughtful and accommodating service truly went above and beyond.
As for the food, it was simply outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour, my photos really don’t do the dishes justice as we were tucking in way before I had chance to snap a quick pic. The ingredients were fresh, and the chef's attention to detail was evident with each bite. I even ordered a huge portion of the salsa as that was phenomenal and I wanted to take some home. Whether you're a fan of hearty mains or prefer lighter options, there's something for everyone. We ordered from the main and set menu, I started with the fish cake, leg of lamb for my main and the Aqua Sundae for dessert. All absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection and so many tasty flavours and textures. They don’t have a kids menu but will let you choose items from the main menu in a smaller portion. Overall, Aqua delivers not just a meal, but an experience. It's clear that both the kitchen and the front-of-house staff take pride in what they do, and it shows in every aspect of the dining experience. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a place where great food meets exceptional service and a lovely atmosphere! Really enjoyed the music selection too! Really adds to the ambience. I will most...
Read moreMy partner booked this" restaurant " thinking it was good having looked at the pictures It is clean , but way overpriced for mediocre meals, I had the evening special 2 courses for £18.00 or so I thought. Ordered soup and sirloin steak, soup was supposed to have come with baguette, I received two pieces of thin hard whatever it was, steak came next with " chips " the steak looked like it had been pulled and stretched to make it look bigger and I'm sure they'd gone to McDonalds to get their chops, fries or whatever you call them there was nothing else, just one steak and McDonalds fries, on leaving I had to get something else to eat as I was still hungry. On coming to pay the bill I saw it was £20.25,they sneak a service charge in, I don't know about you but I prefer to give a tip myself, the service I received didn't warrant one, nor did the meal warrant the extortionate price they charge, only go if you want to waste money compare this to when I went to wetherspoons the next night and Ordered their gourmet steak. This came to £10.70 and for that I got a thick juicy steak, proper chips, mushroom, tomato peas two ramekins of their lovely peppercorn sauce a fried egg and a pint of lemonade and lime plus no service charge after which I was pleasantly full for half the price. My advice ignore the nay sayers of wetherspoons and eat there pictured is the...
