This is my regular. I'm familiar with the majority of the staff and the punters. In my honest opinion this is the best pub in Bromley by a long way, its never too busy, theres a great selection of drinks on offer especially if you're a ale drinker. The staff are great and its refreshing to see staff that don't have to wear corporate uniforms and have some character.
They had a change of management not too long ago and the new landlord is great, he's made some much needed changes and has cleaned the pub up without removing the character.
The only reason I haven't given this place 5* is because of the recent increases in price are getting out of hand. Its beginning to surpass London level pricing and I know personally that myself and a lot of others have stopped drinking there in the same frequency because of the price. I'm aware however this is a decision by the brewery and not the staff. If you're willing to pay more for your drinks then this is one of the best...
Read moreLovelyyyy pub! Unfortunately one of the staff members in particular lets them down as a business. I think her name was Amy from memory. Came here tonight for a drink, was told we couldn't order outside but could order inside. So we went in and ordered our drinks, once received (which came wrong to what we ordered!) we decided to go outside and sit at a table to smoke a cigarette with our drinks. Upon doing this, we over heard this Amy (covered in tattoos with pink hair) slagging us off to the bar staff at the fact we had just gone outside to smoke a cigarette, is that illegal? Was there any need to slag us off because of it? I'm disgusted that we came here to spend money to then over hear such a rude comment being made about it. If it wasn't for the rest of their lovely staff, especially a lovely young girl named Mia (I think) who came over to make sure everything was okay, I would not...
Read moreWell decorated pub with a good combination of old and new that leaves you comfortable yet on your toes. Staff are inviting and attentive. Modest selection of classic pub beers with one or two variants such as the mighty Afflighem. Standard spirits and wine collection. Background music sets appropriate chilled but involved tone to proceedings often touching on slightly 90's rocky notes. Small concrete pub garden with benches is basic but, on a hot day, vibrant. Food is exceptional, i've eaten several times and never had an issue. More on the pricey side with most mains around £10 - £15 however good value for money from quality and portion size. Parts of the menu change roughly monthly and keep the food fresh. Dogs and children welcome, but it is never overcrowded with either. Lively nights throughout the week, including a DJ night with dancing and fun. Also a quiz night,...
