Recently, my husband, kids, and I visited Zizzi after a friend recommended it, and we had a fantastic time! The food was delicious, and the warm, friendly service made our dining experience even better.
Our kids can be quite picky, but to our surprise, they absolutely loved the margherita pizza. It was a huge win for us. My husband, who isn't the biggest fan of Italian food, was thrilled with the calzone picante that our waitress, Sonia, suggested. He enjoys spicy food, and her recommendation hit the mark perfectly. He couldn’t stop talking about how much he enjoyed it and even mentioned that we will definitely be coming back.
The food was served hot and was simply delicious. I ordered the lasagne, and I have to say, it was one of the best I've ever had. Every bite was a delight.
Sonia's service was top-notch. She was incredibly friendly and quick with bringing our drinks and food, even though the restaurant was quite busy. I appreciated her asking about any allergies, which is not always the case when places are bustling. She was also very patient as my two little boys took their sweet time deciding what they wanted. Her suggestion of the margherita pizza for them was spot on, and her interaction with them allowed my husband and me to make our choices peacefully.
Our boys can get quite excited when dining out, which can be a handful, but Sonia managed them wonderfully. Her approach made the meal so much more enjoyable for us. The service at Zizzi was exactly what you expect from a high-quality restaurant. Thanks to Sonia and the lovely meal, we’ve decided that Zizzi will become one of our regular dining spots. We're looking forward to our next visit, and hopefully, we'll see Sonia again. A big thank you for making our dinner a...
Read moreIf you're craving authentic Italian food with a modern twist, look no further than Zizzi. Nestled in the heart of London, this place isn't just a restaurant – it’s a mini getaway to Italy, one bite at a time.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and the rich, comforting aroma of freshly baked dough, garlic, and herbs. The ambience strikes the perfect balance between rustic charm and chic, contemporary comfort. Think exposed brick, wood-fired ovens, and the kind of lighting that makes every dish look like a work of art.
Now, let’s talk about the food – mamma mia, what a feast! The Rustica pizzas are a must – huge, thin-crust masterpieces loaded with fresh, bold toppings. The Pulled Pork Roma pizza was a personal favorite: sweet, smoky, and perfectly crisp around the edges. We also had the Casareccia Pollo Piccante, which came with a creamy, spicy tomato sauce that was simply to die for.
And the desserts? Don’t even think about skipping them. The Tiramisu was light, fluffy, and just the right amount of boozy, and the Chocolate Melt was the ultimate indulgence – warm, gooey, and heavenly with a scoop of gelato.
The staff were attentive without being overbearing, and our server had some fantastic wine pairings to recommend, which really elevated the whole experience.
Whether you're on a casual dinner date, celebrating with friends, or just popping in for a midweek treat, Zizzi offers something special – comfort food done with care, flavor, and flair. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled onto a little hidden gem, even though it’s right in the middle of London.
Can’t wait to go back. Bravo, Zizzi – you’ve won our hearts and our...
Read moreIts a shame as this could be a good restaurant. Restaurant had a good atmosphere. Lack of staff with high-quality customer service, this could be due to poor training or lack of experience of staff. Restaurant was only half full on a friday evening at approx 8pm (Looking back now is this why!) Drinks spilt as served to table not cleared up, table was slightlywobbly so spilt drink started to drip into lap & we scrabbled to find a napkin or tissue to mop it up ourselves. When main course served, no cutlery & had to ask for it & food was not checked after 5/ 10 minutes to see if all was ok. Pork belly well over cooked, very thin slice & cracking was just fat that had been sat in oil for far too long. Salmon on other dish was also not very warm when served. Struggled to get staff attention to complain. Could not cut even with serrated knife. Plates cleared & a very half-hearted apology with shoulder shrug from young waitress. Offered a drink, then charged for it on bill at end, only removed after challenging it. Desserts took a very long time to come & then whilst waiting to catch staff eye to get bill, we had a very strong smell of 'weed' which we worked out was coming through the drafty gaps in the from window & unlocked fire door next to the table from a man directly outside who smoked the whole joint before moving away!! (Aware this not directly restaurant fault but it really didn't help!) We sadly couldn't leave restaurant quick enough on what should have been a celebratory meal & a...
