the main thing I didn't like was the cold food, a fatal mistake in a cold country, because when you enter a restaurant, the first thing you want is hot food to feel welcomed and that you made the right decision when choosing that restaurant and that was far away to happen. the food had a lot of pepper some like it but some don't so for those who don't like pepper your options are drastically reduced and it's not worth paying the 22 pounds. another interesting point was that some foods were very hard, it seems that they were not well cooked, considering that if they were soft and more cooked it would be much better, a pity for not thinking like that because it has all the structure to make them. the tables facing the pruncipal street have a beautiful look. another interesting point that had a variety of desserts but nothing tasted just the shape and appearance of dessert some too sweet and others not sweet at all. one of the things I didn't like was that after eating the food it was too heavy in the stomach so I don't know if it's on purpose for the customer to eat and then get stuffed up with the weight of the food so they don't enjoy it anymore, since it pays for a fixed price and eat as much as you can and want. The waiters are attentive and take the plates from the tables that have been used very quickly. leaving the tables cleaner without clutter this was a nice point. we bought some wine and a waitress went to pour the wine into the glasses, always letting a little wine drip out of the glass. deadly mistake for those who appreciate wine, it was served the same way you serve soda without any label. sushi didn't taste like anything and sashimi had almost nothing just to say it was on the menu a pity! that was my experience and my view of the thing. maybe whoever is reading this might think I'm being too demanding but it was the...
Read moreThe front-of-house who greeted me was very well-spoken and got a table sorted promptly. The wait for the table was only for a few minutes and soon I was escorted to my table. I was brought to the table which had not been cleaned yet. I knew the floor staff who escorted me would clean it regardless. However, for the few minutes I was waiting for my table, the table should have been cleaned before escorting the customer over. The food was good, nothing extravagant, but nothing bad. However, a few of the options like sushi and sashimi had run out and hadn't been replenished throughout my alloted time.
The general sanitation of the buffet area was good, but some very simple misses were spotted. There was a half-empty bowl of soup next to the two soup pots, and it remained for all 2 hours of my dine-in. I can say the same about the counter surface near the sushi, which had a visible amount of sauce, which once again, was not tended to for the entire time. None of these are big problems, but it makes you question the floor staff's attention to detail. Also, I don't have any allergies, and I know that going to a buffet always comes with the risk of indirect contamination. The chances will never be 0%, but regular attention to the cleanliness of the facilities will vastly decrease the chances of a customer having an allergic reaction. In addition, the plates and silverware were running severely low near the end of my dine-in. However, I will give the benefit of the doubt, and assume this was only the case because it was approaching closing time.
Aside from the negative, the bar was very pleasant as well as...
Read moreA small group of us of 4 adults and 1 child. I cannot remember the last time I was at Aroma maybe about 15 yrs ago...When we decided to go this time I was very shocked at the total upgrade of the place. The seating and atmosphere was really nice. As for the food I was very pleasantly shocked at the variety of foods, it was huge! They literally thought of every dish known to man lol. The only thing they never had tho was chips lol! But they had hash browns. The desserts had a huge range too. The foods I didn't like all of it, probably about 50% I enjoyed. But that was just me. Their desserts was nice. Although I never had the rolled ice-cream they make in front of you my friends did and they loved it. The chocolate fountain was delicious, had that with the waffles and banana fritters- couldn't get enough of that loved it! The staff were amazing they were so attentive and friendly. Having a good service is very important and makes a huge impact on the experience. I didn't want to pay for the drinks at first(as you pay for that separately at £3) but realised you need it, and so glad I did as their drinks was very nice esp the fizzy orange with the crushed ice very yummy! And you can refill it as much as you like! It became well worth the price in the end. So our overall experience: we was very impressed how good the place is. And at £24, plus £3 drink; you can eat and drink as much as you want, with a huge variety foods you can't get that anywhere else. We left there very happy and completely stuffed! Thanks Aroma for a...
