Banh Mi Aha! Holborn — Restaurant in London

This looked like a really nice place to dine. Lambs Conduit Street always has a nice buzy vibe and great little independent shops and eaterys. But unfortunately, I was hugely disappointed. Being you order food from the counter yourself, a 12.5% service charge is a sly and excessive charge for the food to ONLY be brought to your table. (yes we did refuse to pay this). When I asked for soy sauce as the food was really bland, I was told I had to pay extra for soy sauce, which when the prices are already extortionate for what you get, charging for staples like soy sauce in a Vietnamese restaurant is a joke. When bringing this to the attention of the manager, was told everybody that comes here can afford it and have never made a complaint about spending extra for the chargable condiments, totally missing the point.. It’s been a year since I last visited Vietnam, and this bánh mì truly touched my heart. As a Vietnamese person, I can honestly say this is the real flavour of a proper Vietnamese baguette.

I had the original one, it was absolutely delicious and generously sized (I couldn’t finish it all in one go! It has a lot inside). The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and kind, which made the experience even more special. The water infused with lemon and mint was a lovely touch as well.

Little gem in the neighborhood I absolutely loved this place! The foods are all above average but there are small details that makes this place better

Bahn mi bread was crispy fresh and hot (Maybe i was lucky?) but the bread sometimes serves cold in other places but this place was FRESH

Pho soup had a deep flavour They know how to make the broth
