FANTASTIC NEGRONIS THAT'S ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW... Ber Termini is the perfect modern counterpoint to Bar Italia just around the corner. The latter being the first Italian Coffee House in the UK established in 1949 (and above it, the birthplace of television) the former, the new upstart (2014) on Soho's Old Compton Street, but none the worse for that. It's a boutique experience in a small bar (25 covers), my guest and I had booked our table for a Monday lunch-time, but we could have simply walked in around mid-day, though an hour later that would have been a far tougher proposition. I had the Robusto (Ā£7) & Supeiore (Ā£7) Negroni's that were utterly sublime. We had intended to have a bite to eat, but the drinks were just too good. The distinction between such similar drinks was astounding and credit to Tony Coniglario. The understanding of it's location and historical relevance for immigrant history has not been lost on this establishment either, as the video interviews with a variety of local Italian on its website, reminiscing Soho's glory days, will contest A rare thing indeed these days, a new establishment appreciating the importance of its surroundings. This should not only be admired but celebrated by all. There food menu is limited & on the whole expensive, but it's genuinely not why you're here. I'm reliably informed they do good coffee too. And apparently other cocktails are excellent. But for my money, the value and the experience is in the Negroni. London has just appointed a new Night Czar (November 2016) if her first role was to ensure this venue had a 24 hour licence, she could call the start of her tenure a very successful one. Come at lunch-time and lose an afternoon drinking. It is after all what the Italians would do.... and me.

When asked your favourite bar in London, it’s not an easy answer, but Bar Termini is the one that comes into conversation often and deservedly so. You couldn’t be welcomed by a warmer team and immediately bump into bartender friends who evidently come to enjoy excellence, whether it’s the perfect Italian coffee or to pick from the four Horseman of negronis that are poured till the liquid sits impossibly above the rim of the glass, requiring a Mission Impossible stunt of sipping it whilst suspended from above the table without spilling a drop. Oh and the small glass it comes in… well, if a glass and negroni can be sexy, this is the one. I’m jealous of those curves and character. The team are truly, truly all so lovely and it’s no doubt one of the most relaxing and enjoyable bars to be at that makes you feel special in a way that you are amongst friends with the level of intimacy each visit brings. Go by yourself, go with a friend or go to bump into friends old and new, Bar Termini will never let you down. It’s classic fun. Thank you guys as always!

Barman had an attitude the moment we walked in. We were a table of 3 and so, swapped a chair with an empty table so we could all sit comfortably. The barman huffed and muttered to himself at which point we asked if there was a problem. He said next time we should ask before moving the furniture around! I mean, surely he should be happy at 3 people have walked in and not 2 (or 1 as there's a guy at the bar alone) I don't know. It made me feel uncomfortable the whole time but as it was such a small place, I was too embarrassed to stand up and leave, I even paid service charge (begrudgingly) because I didn't want any further confrontation with him! I wouldn't recommend and I wouldn't go back. The one cocktail I was okay but I really just wanted to leave!

Me and my friend wanted to visit this bar for some time now as she have been previously and she suggested that is nice place for glass of wine and some nibbles. When we arrived we was greeted by blond girl with glasses she was very kind but told us that unfortunately there was no space what so ever unless we have a reservation and she offer us to stand next to the door and have a drink there. I tough that this is not comfortable for me and we decide to go elsewhere. On the way out I over heard the lady on the line behind us that she had no reservations but the same employee offered he a sit on a table. When we walk out I share the conversation I over heard with my friend and she got very upset that we was misjudged or for whatever reason denied a space and the lady after us was offered one. So we decose to stay outside and see if they gonna sit on a table the customer after us. Then the waitress realised that we was watching her and she came out of the restaurant to make it up and offer us a table. So as they was fully booked they suddenly offered a table??? Thank to David who end up looking after us we actualy enjoy our time there. I end up having 3 or 4 aperol spritz and my friend few glasses of wine we also had few sharing plates . Drinks and food was excellent. And big thank you to David ! I hope that this is one off incident with the blond lady with the glasses as if this is a custom you will lose a lot of customers. So we give David and the place 5 stars and her 1 star so when we sum together and divide on 2 u get 3 stars. Hope next time we come we gonna be able to get the full...

Bouncer was lovely. But that is where the customer service ended. Initially we stood inside the door as there was no room. We were happy with this as we were happy to be inside out of the rain. When a table became free I asked the waiter if we could sit. The waiter seemed annoyed that I had asked and from then on we were treated like absolute shi*e and mocked. It was so odd. A complete change in character.

I’m a Londoner and a regular to the area and restaurant scene and have never encountered service like it. The waiters were consistently rude to us and belittling. This, despite us being friendly and unsure what we had done to annoy them (except ask to sit down). They seem to have a weird control/ power issues (which I can see confirmed from the other reviews). Drinks were really good and we spent quite a bit of money however after being offered and given another (our last drink) we’re told we had 10 minutes to drink up. Paying Ā£16 for a cocktail and then being requested to drink it in 10 minutes is not acceptable. The bill between the two of us came to Ā£90, so not cheap.

When I was leaving there was a que outside and I said ā€˜thank you’ to our server who was outside managing the que. After I had passed the waiter mimicked me making the que laugh at me. Horrid. I’ve never had to write a negative review before but this experience was shocking and I want to feedback so that they do better for future customers. Friendliness and politeness...
