Super experience at Barrio Shoreditch / La Isla Bonita! It’s a fab space and thought the tickets (£39 for early bird 3pm session) we’re excellent value. The session is with bottomless drinks, and we were all given mimosas, some very weak sangrias, and the staff kept bringing us more bottles of Prosecco - we were never left with empty glasses! The food was also very delicious and plentiful - tortilla crisps with pots of salsa and guac, and then cheesy quesadillas which were very tasty. I would add that it wasn’t clear what was inside, and whilst the vegan in our group had her own plate of food, there were some in our group who didn’t eat beef, and it wasn’t clear that some of these had beef, and others had beans (which also looked like beef!). We also had to keep requesting water - this was not as ‘plentiful’! But despite this, still excellent and tasty food and we definitely didn’t go hungry. The churros and chocolate for pudding was a very nice touch. The musical bingo was also super fun, and this was all down to the MC/host ‘Miss Chastity Belt Cabaret’ who is a very talented singer and really god everyone into the bingo game. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and worked hard to ensure the 2 hour time slot was enjoyed by all.

Lovely bar and restaurant in the middle of Shoredtich. Nice staff and very nice funky modern atmosphere. They have an absolutely astounding selection of cocktails to choose from, including their own takes on classics, as well as the classics themselves. The drinks themselves were delicious but it’s definitely worth going for food too, as their Mexican dishes with a twist are really really interesting and delicious. The cheeseburger tacos are incredible as they are delicious and taste exactly like a cheeseburger! The chilli beef fries are out of this world and the chicken bites dipped in sauce are to die for! Prices are high but not bad for London and especially Shoreditch, and the quality matches the prices. All in all it’s a very nice place to come for drinks or lunch for something a bit different and social. You can order and pay via your phone and the food comes pretty quick.

I have very mixed feelings about this place. The food was lovely- decent flavours with each taco we grabbed. Could have eaten more to be honest but didn’t know how they would come so just got a couple of platters. The wait staff were helpful in that regard with recommendations of what to have. Some of the tacos were a tad overpowering and you might be put off easily. We grabbed a pitcher of margaritas, which for me was like juice but my friend said she could feel the alcohol so I guess if you’re a big drinker like me, maybe grab your own drink. That will be difficult though, as the bar was absolutely rammed! I couldn’t go up and get a drink there were so many people. No one was eating apart from us, as it had gotten to that time on a Friday night where everyone was drinking. We sat at a table away from the bar crowd and the decor I must say was very eye-catching. We went outside after eating to sit in the smoking area, there were a lot of tables filled and it was crowded! Wasn’t really our vibe as we had gone there to catch up (just the two of us) but would recommend this place for groups if you’re feeling like a fast-paced evening out.

I had an incredible experience at Barrio, a charming Mexican cocktail bar with a lovely yard. The ambiance is vibrant and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. The food is absolutely amazing. Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic Mexican flavors and beautifully presented with a variety of options for vegetarians. The drinks were equally impressive, with a fantastic selection of cocktails that were both creative and delicious. What truly set this place apart was the service. The staff were attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. A special shoutout to Charlotte, the kindest and most attentive waitress we’ve ever had. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time. If you’re looking for a place with excellent food, great drinks, and outstanding service, look no further than Barrio. Highly recommended!

The decor was beautiful, bright, bold and vibrant, I had a good feeling about this place, well I was wrong. You cant order at the bar or have waitress service, it had to be done on the phone App. My friend and I both tried to order and we both had difficulties. I saw a particular cocktail I wanted, but we couldnt find it, so when we asked, the waitress went to bar to ask, SHE TOOK 20 MINUTES. Luckily we managed to figure it out in that time and I ordered a different cocktail. My friend ordered a vegetarian Burrito, when it arrived it was cold, she asked someone to warm it up, they say No. The staff weren't very friendly, hardly any of them spoke to us! Having a ordering App is all very well, but takes away human communication, the social aspect of going out. We were both very disappointed with this dining experience. We will not be returning here.

Fun atmosphere and great service! We booked an outdoor table for a birthday party, we got the package drinks quite late because it was super busy and they told us we had to move inside soon after because the outdoor space closes at 11. The guy who was serving us, Derrick or Derreck (excuse me for not spelling your name properly), made sure we got a table inside but that specific table seemed to be reserved for someone’s else. That inconvenience was solved quite fast and we all thank this guy for taking care of us and for making sure the birthday was not going to be ruined! We’ll surely come back especially because of how we were treated. Thumbs up 👍🏽
