Please think twice before booking. I don’t usually write reviews but I felt I must help you all out. There were good and bad things but for me the bad outweighed the good.
First and foremost, the location is in a bad area. If you are traveling to London for your first time, please pay more for a better hotel. There is graffiti everywhere and shady people walking about.
The hotel advertises that you can leave your luggage before checkout. Ok great. But you literally are allowed to leave it in the small lobby by dirty couches amongst their religious ritual inscents and statues.
Our room REAKED of body Oder and cigarette smoke. BAD. Thankfully we told the receptionist and he changed our room but this was only after he walked up to the room with us because he didn’t believe us. The room he changed us too was 10 times smaller.
Elevator (lift) is TINY. Barely fit In it with me husband.
Bathroom door in room 306-locks but it almost impossible to unlock. For a minute I thought I was trapped in their for-sure.
There were soooo many switches in the room we couldn’t figure out how to turn on the AC although heat was blowing out. Made the stay truly terrible.
Breakfast- I know, appreciate it because its free. But wow, the dining area is so small and the options are awful. Only fresh cooked thing you’ll get is a fried egg.
On the flip side, our new room although smaller was seemingly nice, aside from a few stains on the curtains and floor. Amazing hair dryer Great toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) Lots of towels Key card holder gave us all the information we needed including WiFi password, breakfast times, and checkout time.
Some good and some bad, make the choice yourself depending on what matters...
Read moreLiked ·We stayed here for one night and had a good experience staying here. Checking in was super easy, staff were lovely and informative, the room was nice with good facilities. Bathroom was very spacious and had more than we expected, i.e a bath. the room was quite cosy and nice layout. Due to covid breakfast was delivered to the room which was nice, continental breakfast was very nice, wide range to choose from. overall local of hotel is good there are plenty of bars, restaurants and places to visit near by and only a small taxi ride to others. checking out was super simple too and overall had a nice experience, and would stay again.
Disliked · Only a few faults to our stay here that didn't overly effect out stay but had a small impact. There was slight noise disturbance due to being located next to a pub however this died down once the pub had closed, busy road next to hotel as well but also dies down into the evening. Pillows were not overly comfortable which made sleeping a bit difficult, just too soft for our liking. Small stains on the carpet, didn't matter to us but just effected the presentation of the room. drainage for bath and sink was a little slow so had to unscrew the plugs to allow better water flow. overall wasn't too much that really effected us only small things you'd notice but easily...
Read moreWe occasionally stay in central London so we are close to events and had one in Shoreditch and chose the Shoreditch Inn as it was located close to our venue. A big mistake. The 1st one is that a 2nd payment for the booking was taken (beware and check the bank statement). On contacting them they did not give any indication of the seriousness of this or tried to help resolve it and left us dealing directly with the bank (we got contacted by the owner a few weeks later when they realised it had happened to other customers too and so is an issue with the hotel but still no proper response to what was a very difficult situation). On arrival I asked for an extra duvet as my partner likes extra warmth. We were promised this would be arranged, nothing. The shower was cold in the morning. Breakfast is a mess. You have to chose from a list of 4 random set options (so cant mix and match to your preferred breakfast selection). It is not a buffet so it took 10 mins to get some toast and croissants and we had to rush off to our meeting. They also did not have any fruit that morning. Basically an all round disaster and would...
