I was a regular customer at Be At One for the past 7ish years, it used to be my favorite place, I have seen the overall quality deteriorate with both the music and the drinks, on new year's eve however even the security have failed miserably.
There was a group of around 5 men at a table adjacent to ours and one of the them knocked over a drink I just bought drenching my girlfriend’s phone and the table, I quickly tried to clean up the phone before it receives water damage. My girlfriend came back, I told her what happened she has shown them her drink and her phone from afar, they didn’t do anything, they just left after some minutes either in shame or to have some cheap drinks at the nearest shop.
The aforementioned group’s table was vacated because they were gone for that long, a member of staff has cleaned it up and have removed their name tag and we asked if we can move to it and not only he said yes, he has even helped us move. The reason we wanted to move there was because our table to drenched in the spilled drink.
The group of men decided to come back after a very long time and they wanted “their” table back and started harassing us. I did not let them intimidate me, my girlfriend went to the security who decided to call me over and let the group sit, I tried to explain the situation to the security person, but the only thing he offered is that they maybe able to get us a table at the exact opposite end of the bar, my girlfriend was distressed and the told me she was threatened by the men, I relayed that to the security person, he visibly didn’t care, at that point we decided to just leave. I went back to my jacket and it was reaffirmed why leaving was indeed the best choice, there was a security person blocking my way, I had to ask the group of men for my jacket, which they returned to me and then we left because it was very clear to us where everyone stood.
I would be interested to know by what logic does security decide to favour a group of men instead of actually addressing the concerns of the couple who has called them over, any reasonable person would have either just looked at the table and seen that there is no tag on it, or would have just talked to the staff or they could have guessed that a group of men are more likely to be causing problems then a couple.
I did previously see security go and wake up a girl who dozed off a little bit, not sure what inference I should make from all this, it looks like they are fine calling over girls and couples but are afraid to handle groups of men, or were the men friends of the...

I can't express how disappointed I am with my recent visit to this club. We went clubbing on a Saturday night, full of excitement, only for it to be completely ruined by atrocious customer service.
Upon arrival, we found a table that had no reservation sticker on it, so we sat down. Thinking it was all good, my friend and I left one of our companions at the table to guard our coats and bags while we went to buy a bottle of wine. To our horror, when we returned, our friend was nowhere to be found. Turns out, the staff had escorted her out because supposedly someone had booked the table. Seriously?
What made it even more absurd was that she left her coat there, which added to the confusion. We tried explaining everything to security, but they were not only unhelpful but downright discriminatory towards her. We then requested to speak to the manager, hoping for some assistance, but they were equally unhelpful.
In a state of utter disbelief, I decided to return the wine bottle and glasses we had just purchased back to the bar, and asked for a refund. I mean, how could we enjoy ourselves when our friend was stuck outside, not allowed back in? Yet, the manager refused to refund us.
Nobody deserves to be treated like this. It was not only embarrassing but also a completely unfair situation. I am beyond disappointed and will never recommend this club to anyone. Save your time and money and go somewhere where the staff actually values their customers. Just a downright...
Read moreAlthough this be at one has always been good on this occasion they managed to make me feel unsafe within the bar. Having run out of battery I politely asked if they could charged my phone (which they always do!) however this time it was an issue. Despite supporting the “Speak to Angela” movement I explain to the manager Simon that without battery I wouldn’t be able to travel home… I understand it may not be policy but they have always done it for me before and now suddenly it’s an issue? Furthermore to this majority of bars nowadays have a Charging station or somewhere to leave your phone. As mentioned this has never been an issue before so I’m perplexed at this point what the issue could be? He agreed to charge it in the office after 15minutes of conversation and a lot of eye rolls from his side. I’ve been here loads of time however I feel like this issue needs to be flagged - if you truly cared about women’s safety surely you would be ok to charge it for 10mins? It’s not like he’s a hamster generating the power for the electricity… this whole attitude managed to make me feel the most uncomfortable I’ve ever felt at be at one… it’s honestly a shame! It’s such a shame because the bar team and FOH team including Ekram have been more than fantastic! She handled the situation like a pro unfortunately her manager couldn’t do the same… we also work for hospitality being judged to this level...
