I have eaten at a LOT of fried chicken joints in London and elsewhere, but I'd say this is up there in one of my favourite places so far. I think the name is a little misleading as they sell so much more, from curries to tikka and doner kebabs. The staff are really friendly (a bit of a novelty in London) and the food is fresh and really delicious. I ordered a mixed tikka wrap which was ready in maybe 5 minutes or so. In the meantime I couldn't resist ordering just one piece of fried chicken, as it was staring at me longingly from the glass cabinet. The gentleman serving me offered me whichever piece I preferred, boneless, breast, leg etc, rather than most places that just give you the worst meatless greasy bits that have been sat there the longest. The chicken was crispy, moist and most importantly, not dripping with oil. Perfectly cooked in my opinion. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and I could see that the area behind the counter was similarly clean. My mixed tikka wrap in naan was ridiculously good. I took all of the salad and the chilli and garlic sauce offered. I opted for a small portion which was still plenty of meat. Chicken and lamb tikka along with lamb sheek kebab. No chewy inedible bits of meat. All perfectly cooked and seasoned. I couldn't find a single fault with this place. Such amazing find whilst cycling through Leyton. I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu as the order I made today was incredible. Top of my list for fried chicken in London, as of today. Hightly...
Read moreI was traveling through the area viewing properties and wanted to grab something to eat and found this little beauty! Fortunately they were having a 25% off offer that day as they recently refurbished the whole place, and it was definitely looking clean and modern. What matters most though is the food, and it was fantastic! I had the 1/2 pounder meal with a side of wings and everything was flavourful and delicious. The 1/2 pounder made me think I was a kid again at the local funfair eating a classic 1/2 pounder off a burger van. The wings were coated in a lovely pepper batter giving it a little kick, and the chips were sprinkled with a masala powder which they gave as a free option which I chose to tryout, and I'm glad I did, beautiful! I received everything piping hot just how I like it, as I believe it adds to the flavour and will definitely be going here again, even though I'm not local to the area, worth it in every...
Read moreSexism. each time i go and order ( many many times over the years i’ve lived here ) they get my order wrong, do not listen and are very rude and forget items so many items and give me what i have not ordered. the amount of times i have ordered nuggets and received wings is unbelievable and ordered a chicken burger and got a beef one instead. this is entirely unacceptable due to allergies and diets, what if i didn’t eat beef? or wings? and when i point out their mistake if i notice in time they are so mean and so rude to me just because i am a woman. this is entirely true as they do the same to my mum but when my boyfriend goes in they treat him with respect and nicely and never give him the wrong thing and even offer extra things and ask if it is all okay. and i see other men getting treated so nicely and much more...
