Pranzos Piri Piri — Restaurant in London

I dont usually write reviews but this was so bad i have to warn you...Absolutley terrible experiance. Must be new owners as i've been here many times before and the food and service was very good, this is why we came here again today...only after this time i will never go back. The customer service was shocking to say the least! We ordered the loaded box, in the pictures it clearly shows fried burgers and wings/strips, doesn't mention grilled anywhere, when the food comes its grilled burgers and strips, none of my family like grilled burgers and on top of that the 'mild' strips were so spicey we couldnt eat them. We had to order extra water to extinguish our mouths! When we told the waiters they offered to slap on some lemon and herb sauce on top and that was their solution. He actually had the nerve to say "sorry sister, enjoy your meals"!

Payment time: they were gona charge us the full whack, when i questioned this he said ok take of the water. I told him no one could eat the food because of the spice and that the food was grilled with no mention of it on the menu, and showed him the pictures that clearly show fried burgers and strips, he said it was mild and the pictures are just there to show you what you get in the meal. I said no, it should mention, or atleast the waiter should mention that its grilled. He said everyone knows its grilled, i said obviously not everyone because i didnt know! He got angry, raised his voice and said "theres a chicken and chip shop next door, you should have gone there." What kind of customer service is...

Comfortable seats, good service, AMAZING food! You assume it'll just be a normal grilled chicken shop from the cozy and simple decor and seating, but once you taste the food you realise you've hit a hidden gem.

The chicken was perfectly marinated, flame grilled, and yet remained juicy. I ordered the hot marinade, and unlike the hot you'd get at the most well known Piri Piri franchise, this one wasn't a vinegary burning heat, but instead; a flavourful rich heat that still allowed me to enjoy the flavour of the chicken itself.

The 6oz burger was juicy and smokey from the grill and not overly greasy. The brioche buns were light and not too sweet like other brioche buns.

The chips are hand down some of the best chips I've ever eaten, only thing wrong with them is that you can't stop eating them!

The lamb chops were tender and juicy, not dry and tough like I've had in other places.

They have this creamy sauce that's orangeish in colour that's really nice. Would definitely recommend.

I went in just hungry and looking for a place to eat but I left really impressed.

Service was excellent but the food was not up to the normal standard. The loaded box consisted of a wafer thin burger and lots of onions and cabbage. Maybe it should be called a onion burger with a small amount of chicken on top. Since the last time I came the portion size has decreased similar to the chicken. Definitely one to avoid and not planning coming back here again. Asked for lemen and herb and the burger was very spicy. Also ordered the mild half chicken and this was definitely not mild. Seems like they classify chilli differently compared to other places. Can only imagine how hot extra chilli must be!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe they add extra chilli to divert attention away from the ridiculously wafer thin chicken. The washroom needs attention, it was dirty and required a clean.
