Myself, partner and three friends visited Big Moe's in Wembley before a gig at the OVO Arena on Saturday 1st October before seeing Machine Gun Kelly. All really liked the interior of the restaurant with the 1950s American diner style. But don't let that fool you! All seated and notified by our waitress to order at the counter when we're ready, which we all decided on what to have and ordered as requested when we were ready and paid. My friend ordered nachos, which arrived almost immediately before we sat down after paying. Very below par, very small portions of salsa, guacamole and sour cream, I would estimate a mere tablespoon and a dusting of cheese. Nothing wrong about the dish, just very average considering the price. Mine and my partner's nachos arrived in the same state as my friends, alongside our BBQ chicken strips. The BBQ sauce was nice, but average, however the chicken was not even lukewarm and cold in some places. My other friend ordered wings and sweet potato fries were also cold. However, after a two hour journey to get to London, we were almost too hungry to cause a fuss. Whilst myself, my partner and 2/3 friends were eating, my other friend has been waiting some time for her meal (she ordered a children's chicken strips and fries meal as she wanted a smaller portion). When we approached a waiter questioning the wait, he responded "what did you order again?", which seems there is some lack of communication between front of house and kitchen. Didn't receive any kind of apology for the wait. The chicken strips and fries arrived about ten minutes later, which were piping hot compared to the other meals. However, when biting into the chicken, my friend noticed that the texture didn't seem right, and then noticed that the chicken was in fact pink and undercooked. This disgusted my self and the party, and automatically put us right off our meals. We flagged down the waiter again, and explained the situation. Again, the waiter did not seemed particularly bothered or sincere, and grabbed his Manager to deal with the situation. The manager was not much better, we explained that our meals were not to restaurant standard and below par, but to be served undercooked chicken after a half our wait was unacceptable. He asked if he could replace the meal, but after the wait time and also being repulsed. We declined and asked for a refund for the one meal, which was granted. We was refunded for the undercooked meal and then the manager left, without looking at the meal and didn't remove it from our table. Although, the staff were not rude, there seems to be lack of customer service, empathy and communication. The staff looked disinterested and unmotivated, with the food being below average and overpriced. Although my friend ordered a child's meal (and she's not a child), it is really concerning that this could have been served to an infant or child without noticing. It also made me and my partner worry if our chicken was undercooked as we didn't check and ate the whole meal. If kitchen staff or a chef cannot prepare chicken, then that is a real cause of concern, and I would advise management to investigate this. The experience deflated the mood of our group, which is a shame as I believe the restaurant has potential, but areas really need to be revisited. The next day, myself and group have felt incredibly unwell. All having symptoms food poisoning/nausea. One friend has a weak immune system, so has been affected the worse out of the group and has had lost a day's pay from being unwell and self employed. I would encourage further training in all areas and departments of the restaurant to ensure this does not happen again. This is a very serious issue that has made several people ill. I would encourage the restaurant to rectify these issues as soon as possible, especially as there are similar competitors within the centre. I would not recommend or visit this restaurant again due to the poor experience.

Tried to book a table on the app and found no options (for a Sat), decided to go to the diner just in case. Discovered that we didn't need to book. At 11:44 we were told that they were still serving breakfast - asked what time lunch would start - 12:30. After some thought, decided to continue and shown to a table. Explained how to order - via the app - but when we tried using the breakfast menu, the app said it was closed. In fact the app clearly showed that breakfast stopped at 11:45 (remember, we had arrived at 11:44). Don't know why there was a difference in time. Finally able to order food via the app, from the main menu. Warning - a tip is automatically added at the time of placing an order - I queried it - was told it's complimentary! A tip is given at the end for good service! At my request it was removed. The best part of my meal was the milkshake. It arrived quickly and was tasty (although somewhat overpriced £5 for the size) We placed two orders, one after the other so that we could pay for our specific items (saves arguments). Twenty minutes after the second order, my food arrived. I waited for my sisters meal to arrive, and while not that long, it was apparently too long, as my food wasn't hot, just warm enough to eat. The restaurant had a small number of customers already seated and eating. It wasn't busy at all! The food was OK. Nothing special, and certainly not worth the price I paid for it (£12.45 for a BBQ Chicken Burger - with 3 small chicken strips). We had to complain about the chemical taste of the Mac 'n Cheese Bites - nothing like the picture - and the waitress wasn't sure what to do, sent a duty manager over. In turn he was surprised at our complaint and went to the kitchen to ask what happened - apparently they had only just opened a new bag - still didn't change the unpleasant taste of them. At no point where they removed from our table. My sister's Corndog was nothing like an American one (yes we've had proper ones) and she only ate one of them. Had she not suggested a refund, I doubt we would have been received one for the Mac 'n' Cheese Bites. You will be unsurprised to hear that this was our first, and will be our last visit to any of the Big Moe's Diners.

**Review for Big Moe Diner** During my recent visit to Big Moe Diner, I was eager to try their acclaimed menu. However, as someone who adheres to halal dietary practices, I had a pressing question about whether their dishes were halal. When I asked a staff member if the diner offered halal options, they showed me a halal certificate dated from 2021. Upon seeing this, I expressed my concern about it being three years old and asked if there was a more recent certification to ensure the meat was current and compliant. The staff member didn’t seem to know and advised me to check with the manager. Upon approaching the manager, I was met with a rather dismissive response: “I don’t know, it’s the same meat.” This left me feeling unsure not only about the validity of the halal certification but also about the diner’s commitment to its standards. It appeared that there wasn’t a system in place to review or renew their halal status regularly, which is concerning for someone trying to navigate dietary restrictions. I appreciate the friendly atmosphere and the vibrant decor, and the menu was certainly enticing. However, my experience was overshadowed by the uncertainty regarding the halal status of the food. It’s disappointing when staff members aren't equipped with the necessary information, especially in a diner that aims to cater to diverse clientele. In conclusion, while I enjoyed the ambiance and some of the food offerings, the lack of clarity and assurance regarding halal practices has left me hesitant to return. I strongly recommend that Big Moe Diner update their halal certification regularly and ensure that all staff members are trained to provide customers with accurate information. Trust is key, especially when it comes to dietary requirements, and I hope the diner takes steps to improve in this area.

I’m not sure where to begin with this review, I’m just absolutely mind blown with how bad this experience was.

Firstly, my family of 4, 2 adults and 2 young children - 1 requiring a high chair were sat at an elevated booth table that could not accommodate a hair chair. It wasn’t until after we had requested to move to another table that could accommodate a hi-chair that we were then offered a normal table.

After ordering at the till and paying a service charge for what was already poor service, we had our food delivered to our original table, the waitress who took our food clearly saw no one was at the table, however decided to leave our food on the empty table and head back to the kitchen. I had to personally go and get our food and bring it to our actual table.

In hindsight I wish I had left the food on the table because it was awful. The “beef” sausages were far too red in colour to be beef and tasted nothing like any sausage I’ve ever had before, the “bacon” was not bacon for sure. It was advertised as “smoky rashes” and came cold - not warm, not tepid, not even luke warm, but genuinely cold. I asked for no mushroom and got more or less a plateful of them, the scrambled eggs were slimy and luke warm and the fried eggs were rubbery with a runny yolk which is a feat in itself to accomplish.

No one came back to ask if the food was okay, or if we needed anything like sauces or refills. After leaving what I would say was about 60% of the food we ordered, someone came and asked if they could clear our plates. Didn’t ask how it was, didn’t ask if we had finished, or wanted anything else, just “can I take your plates?”

After clearing our plates I was starting to pack up our personal items and strap our daughter back into her pram, whilst I was doing that, staff came over and started to spray the table clean for the next people. Before I could get my daughter securely fastened into the pram, they were already trying to seat the next guests at our table - despite there being 7-8 other empty tables of the same size in the restaurant.

Without doubt the worst experience I had ever had in a restaurant and most certainly will not be going back. If I could have left 0 stars, I would have. Would definitely definitely advise people not to waste your money at such a poorly run...
