I normally order from Boof (Same order everytime, since its what I love from them),yet was disappointed with what I got this time.

The Humous was not their normal recipe (I love the normal 'original' recipe and thus would classify them as the place with the best humous in town.),and was very grainy (not smooth as usual, with hardly any flavouring and taste).

The taftoon bread was a disgrace since it was rock hard (not soft and 'chewy' [moist]/fresh as what I normally get from them) , and very brittle and bone dry. )I normally eat the bread and humous together.

The Falafel was the worst from everything that I got.. One could taste the old oil that it has been fried in,not to mention how dry the falafel was overall.

The kebab Ghafghazi was ok overall,as the meat was good, rice was nice and firm, and enjoyed it. Would have loved however if a few more pieces of meat could have been included, since 2 pieces of each (Lamb and Chicken) is not enough to be honest.

Ive order from Boof on a regular basis, when I feel like having something different from the normal,as they are always a good and safe option to go for, however was felt let down on this occasion,as they did not deliver on the normal good food experience that I got.. I would give them a rating of 4/10 on this occasion, compared to my normal 8.5-9/10 what I would normally give them.

I would not order from them anytime soon,in the hope that they could get back to their normal high standard as in the past.

Hopefully they would not be a write off in the future to come.

Please get the quality of food, back to your old original high standards boof,as I really liked it...

Dull food. Nothing special.over priced. Terrible customer service. Never using again. Long wait times to be served. Wasn't made to feel special. Half starters arrived- had to ask where the others were. Had to ask for extra knives and fork for the mains as they weren't given to us. Waiters so unprofessional: Waiter didnt know how to uncork a bottle of wine- we had to do it. Jug of water served with no glasses? Asked one waiter to take our order he palmed us of on another waiter extended the times to wait. They were clearly focused on other parties even though we called ahead to RESERVE a table. Doesnt help that the waiters didnt understand English. Bread and humus orderd. Only bread arrived. Dont waste your time here. When we came to pay a senior waiter made a big hoo-har about paying with card, ' we prefer cash' but we requested a card reader. Brought bill over with NO card reader. No language barrier here. We where the only table still there.. they chose to ignore us. MY FAVOURITE PART: Waiter made fun of my weight also. Very insulted.

Would recommend FAANOOS around the corner

Read both positive and negative reviews and thought we’d give BOOF a chance . A party of 8 for a celebratory birthday early evening meal . Waited over a hour for the food to arrive , when mentioned to the server about the length of time we had waited , it suddenly materialised. The first two orders were stone cold . When the server was told , she took them away as in disbelief. They came back “nuked” in the micro wave within an inch of their lives , with the rest of parties order . The two orders that initially arrived cold , were disgusting and quite frankly inedible , don’t bother ordering the burgers , chicken or beef . The rest of the parties food looked / tasted quite nice but nothing special and again not particularly appetising or hot. The service seemed amateurish. We were initially going to order desserts but didn’t bother . Then came the bill, £186.00 , for ONLY 7 main courses and a service charge of £16.00 . Quite honestly an evening meal with high expectations that sadly disappointed in every sense . Sorry won’t be returning or...

Awful food, overburnt lamb chops, dry baklava which actually was not baklava or the owner doesn't know how baklava looks like, starters below expected, very well overpriced. I have never been in a worse restaurant in the UK. I wish I took my family to some normal restaurant because this was supposed to be a nice evening with my family who are for the first time here in the UK. It has ruined our dinner and evening as well. The waiter without shame charged us burnt lamb chops which were hidden under the other meat on purpose which was startling. This disgraceful experience has cost us £163. Instead of an apology the waiter added their service on the bill and started arguing with us. I would advise all people to go for a sandwich to M&S instead which will save their evening and money. This restaurant is a big scam. Avoid, avoid, avoid at all cost! I would rate them with zero stars if it would be possible.

I had dinner last night with a friend. Boof is a beautiful restaurant. Lovely low-level lighting and music jist loud enough to hear and be ambient. When we first went in, it wasn’t that busy. We had fabulous service and help with what to choose on the menu. I wanted something I hadn’t had before, so I went for the chicken stew with walnuts and pomegranate (Fesenjan). It was delicious. My friend went for lamb stew with lentils, tomato sauce and dried lime(Ghaimeh Badenjan). He loved it. The meals were well presented. We topped it off with hummus and smoked aubergine (Mirza Ghasemi) and a bottle of Pinot Grigio blush. I would happily return. We had a great dining experience.

I visited this Iranian restaurant today and ordered the Boof Special Plate, which came with two pieces of chicken, two pieces of beef, and two ribs. The chicken and beef were fine, but the ribs were very dry, tough, and didn’t taste fresh, they even felt like leftovers. They weren’t hot either, so it didn’t seem like they came straight from the grill. I mentioned this to the waitress, who was very kind and offered to bring me new ribs. However, after waiting around 20 minutes, nothing came, so I asked for the bill and left. Sadly, while the service was polite, the food quality was disappointing.
