My friend and I decided to do a bakery crawl on a Saturday morning and this was our second stop where we had brunch at 10am.
I was surprised to see an almost empty café as I had expected it to be fully seated already but so glad that wasn't the case. Waitresses were very friendly, gave us some menus and gave us a spacious table.
We both went for the blueberry pancakes with bacon, maple syrup and granola and I ordered a cappuccino on the side. The pancakes were absolutely lovely, thick and fluffy and it came in a stack of 4! For the price of ÂŁ8.50 this portion was completely insane, not to mention the quality of it! I really enjoyed them, especially the granola which added a nice crunch to the texture. Coffee was big, nice and strong - just how I like it! In total, I only paid ÂŁ11.30 which was just fantastic value for East London!
I would recommend coming here between 9-10:30am on the weekend, as it got so busy after that time window suddenly. But then people do leave pretty quickly after finishing their food. By 11:30am it was back up to 50% full then.
I really liked this café and would definitely come back and try the savoury options on the...
Read moreA rare gem for East London, its unpretentious, good quality products and relaxed atmosphere cafe. They specialise in qualitative ingredients.
A great place for breakfast, lunch or brunch.
Would recommend the fresh Salad bowls available for eat in/take away.
Lap top users welcome.
No sign of this place becoming a 'hot spot' or 'place to be seen in' which a lot of places in the area seem to fall victim too. Which makes this cafe an asset for the area.
This isn't where you will find the best coffee, sandwiches, smoothie but they will be good quality coffee, sandwiches and smoothies served in a...
Read moreWas really looking forward to an iced latte the other day. I tend to have it a bit sweet and the lady serving dumped honey over my iced milk and ice before adding the coffee shot :| obviously it did not dissolve so I got it everywhere trying to stir. Then exchanged. But I mean c'mon, barista or no barista - honey doesn't tend to dissolve well in cold drinks, no..? For £3.40 someone should really teach this lovely person to make a proper drink. It seems like one of those pretentious organic shops / coffee that doesn't actually deliver quality. Visited in passing as I know the area well, will not visit again....
