A great independent cafe. Excellent service. It was past 3pm and we were looking for a cafe serving waffles. Most cafes on a Sunday close at 4pm so we had to be quick. Ideally I wanted a savoury waffle option but waffle as a dessert was tempting too. We googled and firstly went to Heisenberg Breakfast Co which looked horrific and then thought to try Brunch and Brew. It looked like the store was closing up as they were cleaning but they read our inquisitive looks and a guy waved us in. Straight away we were greeted with a smile and a friendly lady served us quickly. They only have a waffle as a kids dessert menu which was a good enough option for me. When you have a craving…haha The waffle was beautiful, tasty, sweet and presentation fab. I was even offered an adult size one which I thanked for and opted for the kiddy’s size. It was the last hour of serving but I was still asked if everything was to my liking and when we left we were waved with a smile and thanks. I will definitely go back there when in Richmond. Firstly, that's is disgusting. What right does any café have to dictate what a paying customer can do? Secondly, I explained that I was only going to be on the laptop for about 30. I s, a it was 2.30 and was meeting friends there at 3 so could I quickly just type up this thing and they said no. So I asked for a refund and went to Costa over the road wherever I was allowed to write my thing. But he said the the money would go back on my card and I don't think it has yet.
So they lost 3 customers and we all said we wouldn't go back there so thy lost 3 customers in future to.
I understand it's a small place but it's wrong to stop people doing what they need to do. As a business owner myself, this is a bad business model and i hope it goes bust. It was almost empty.
