I ordered a mocha and the triple chocolate pain au chocolat. The pain au chocolat was quite large, containing milk, dark and white chocolate. It also had very good lamination, making it extremely buttery and flakey. My coffee was nice and smooth, though I’m no aficionado; I drink coffee only a handful of times a year. However, I don’t think they gave me a mocha, as I could not detect any chocolate flavour. As well, I felt that the price was quite steep. I spent £8.30 for these two items.

I never rate 1 star, but this time I felt like I have to.. I didn't have any issues with the stuff, but it did feel like they need more stuff! Took ages for my order and what I received was quite disappointing. No flavor at all on the eggs, but the bread was quite nice. £11 for 3 eggs on a piece of sourdough though... really? Maybe I should have read the menu better 🤷‍♂️ Some of the things my friends ordered looked better though.

Can't believe I just discovered such a gem of a place, had the chilli eggs before and what a delicious dish that was unfortunately it was soo good I forgot to take a picture. Came back again on the weekend and the menu was a little different so I've tried the fritters. What a dish, mexican flavours and light but satisfying meal. Amazing and friendly staff, for dessert the rhubarb bakewell is the best I have ever had. 😋

Really weird, order took 30 mins to arrive even tho the place was almost empty. Menu was made up of 4 slightly different versions of eggs on toast, all priced between £10 - £15 - going up to £19.50 if you added bacon. When the food finally arrived I was served the chilli eggs which consisted of a small serving of kale, two tiny watery eggs and hulking doorstop of bread. My girlfriend ordered the gluten free eggs which looked bone dry and wrinkled to the point of being radioactive. They were also covered in toxic aeroplane pesto that tasted like soap. Everything was cold. The waiter was utterly confusing the whole morning and seemed unable to compute why we were less than pleased with the whole thing. He forgot to give us cutlery and every dish arrived staggered, so our friends finished their food before ours arrived. Embarrassing, peculiar and really...

Great coffee, very unprofessional service. First off Amelia, the lady taking my order got 2 out of the 3 items I ordered wrong, overcharged me, promised to bring my food to me but never did. I realised this when a young man brought me an extra serving of sourdough to the eggs on sourdough I ordered, asking ‘Did you order this?’ Come on - it’s quite standard practice to say the name of a dish when you bring it to a customer to confirm the delivery. The same man then carried two whole trays of dirty cups and dishes and just dumped them on a communal table a few centimetres to items belonging to a customer who sat on the table. Man’s hands were touching all over things. I can go on and on - this is appalling, extremely unprofessional. Should not be providing table service when there is clearly no...

I don’t like to give negative reviews however this place deserves it. I have on numerous occasions spent my hard earnt money in this establishment, even met the owners who were lovely - sadly the staff are a total disappointment. Having worked in hospitality for over two decades I know the drill. As soon as you walk through the door it almost feels like you’re a burden as a customer. The wait and awkwardness of having a cue of people waiting to order when there is a minimum of three staff behind the counter doing nothing seems ludicrous!! Not even any eye contact or a greeting. Common courtesy. It’s infuriating as a paying customer. The poor staff doesn’t reflect the good food. I won’t ever be...
